Yes i have, i've experienced it. On my 250r(ATC), I was going FULL THROTTLE and i let off the gas and it kept going WOT, i hit the kill and it still kept going. I pulled in the clutch and came to a stop with the engine still revving at full RPM, and after a few seconds it died. It did this a few times, and its kinda scary.

The first time my kawi ran I blipped it to 4 grand and it stayed there after I let off, then climbed a few grand and slowly came down. REALLY REALLY SCARY.

My dad tells a story of a old Honda 125 Elsinore dirt bike he had ported out to a point where it would lap 250s with the factory pipe, BUT if it ran out of fuel it would run away to 10 grand land. This eventually blew it apart when it happened in neutral.

Why the hell would you run it like that? Honestly, that is one of the dumbest things you could possible do.

I didnt run it "like that", I didnt even try, cleaned the carb and threw the ruined air box assembly aside, wiped out the intake port, prelubed the top end. But some had gotten in there and there were only 2 ways that little bit of grass clippings was coming out.

1. running it
2. rebuilding it

Being a $25 bike with an iron lined jug I went for #1.

In a birds nest there's more than grass clipping's. Theres a fair ammount of mud and dirt in there too. I wouldnt loose sleep over it though.

I'm deffinatly going to get the dirtbike tommorrow afternoon. The guy called us up today and sorry to say but its a four stroke. I realy thought for a while it was a 2 cycle but after talking to the actual owner and not the owners son I was informed of this. Anyway it's still a awsome bike. Has a nice pro-link rear swingarm.

Honda's pro link suspension is claimed as one of the best. It must be a XR250 or the like? Still good bikes, and you can get them street legal.

Here's the pic's. The rear sprocket is SOO worn some of the teeth are missing and some off them look like fish hook's. The rear wheel feels pretty sloppy too.
