ok so i was riding around outside and out of no where i lost all power turns out my #2 piston wasnt firing so i pulled off the head and turns out the exhaust valve is stuck:furious2: but i can hit it back into place and turn the crank and it will open just fine but it wont close???? spring looks...

i got me a 18.5 hp opposed twin Briggs riding mower with no deck to use as a go kart...i changed the back pulley from a 10" to a 2" so i go fast...now the only problem is hooking up a gas pedal ive been at it for hours...any help ????

ok well i just decided to put my mower all back together and i just happend to find a 1n4007 diode so i solderd it in line and i started it up and measured with volt meter i was getting anywhere between 14-23v dc depending on rpms...is this good or bad....and is it safe to hook up to battery...

my murray riding lawn mower wont charge the battery i removed the flywheel and stator. the stator has 2 wires red,black..the stator has no diode on it....????? any help?

can i push start a riding lawnmower...if so how??? would i be able to switch the pulleys and belt with sprockets and chain???

ive recently obtained a opposed briggs(42A707-2653-E1) i have a couple of problems....sometimes when its running its surges it acts like its about to die then revs up then donw again...and when i got it they said the battery was dead an wouldnt hold a charge so i went and a bought a $30 battery...

ok so my 5hp B/S engine wont start but...i start with drill....when i have it in choke and i use drill on high speed...im just getting flames out of the exhaust....and when i have it on run nothing happens....please help

i own a Briggs and stratton go cart engine that will start(sumtimes) but the compression is extremely low and is taking me 5-7hours just to get it to barely start. i have tried spinning the flywheel backwards to check the compression but it just spins back real easy and smooth (same way foward)...

i have a lawnmower(dont kno model rihgt now ) and a few weeks back my mom hit the gas line with it:oops:. we set the mower off to the side....and a couple weeks later when my mom went ot start it it will start for a split second an shut down....any help:confused:

ok well if u recently saw solomons thread on removing the engine governor..... i did the exact same thing he did now my engine over heats in like 2 mins and if doesnt go that fast...super slow....it went faster with the governor in. any ideas:confused:

i have a 5hp briggs an stratton go kart engine, i took it apart an removed the governor to make it go faster. at first it ran perfect but all of the sudden when i go to drive it will go fast but then i will be flooring it all the way an it will go extremely slow. but it barely has any gas in it...

im am looking to adjust my governor on my 5hp briggs and stratton. any idea how to ? i took out the entire governor an trying to put it back on but need to adjust the GOVERNOR ARM

i was replacing my clutch an when i put the screw into the crankshaft to hold the clutch on i cross threaded it:oops: anyway to get it out an restart?
