removing the engine governor + problems

ok well if u recently saw solomons thread on removing the engine governor..... i did the exact same thing he did now my engine over heats in like 2 mins and if doesnt go that fast...super slow....it went faster with the governor in. any ideas

Put the gov back in Check all the linkages are ok, and using the full butterfly, and are not restricted/ the wrong hole etc

Not sure how you know it over heats. Did you hook the throttle linkage to the carburetor butterfly? Does it open all the way? Pics would be great. Their was a warning on the tutorial....
