im am looking to adjust my governor on my 5hp briggs and stratton. any idea how to ? i took out the entire governor an trying to put it back on but need to adjust the GOVERNOR ARM

Your Govener is the screw that is on the gas mechinism that revs when you move it.loosen the srew just a littlebit for more hp.

how not? its pushing the engine to its fullest potential which at then it has the most hp instead of the standard settings for a governer.I use my own experiences and dont ask my friends because the're MUCH more dumber than i am.

haha that was a win response! all removing your governor does is increase your rpms so that you can go faster!

Yes they reach the peak in HP but you may want to turn the motor over at more RPM to gain more speed. Once your up to speed you don't need that extra torque.
