I am wondering what the 2 bolts that hold the rear wheels on are called that are on a non live axle go kart

If you are riding on gravel or dirt, single wheel is gonna suck. Stick with the live axle, its what the frame was designed for, its way less of a headache.

800 HP Compound Turbo Hayabusa Drag Kart

Preface; I AM LOOKING FOR SOMEONE ELSES BUILD. I am not building this (yet). An old timer at the track told me that someone once built a 800 HP Hayabusa motor powered go kart with white trimming that ran low 8's in the quarter mile. The only information I found on it was a bad photo. Does anyone...

    GoKart Senior Project Advice

Sparkwizard is making the point that Fluxcore forms ugly, weak welds. IF its all you have, then sure, or if you HAVE to build a frame to make this count for your senior project, then fine. Help for large sprocket and disc brake mount.

Thank you. I in turn admire machines that don't require maintenance every .5 seconds, as it is with everything I hack together. From what I've seen of your builds, they are far and above my build quality. I can only hope to emulate once I've bought my own machines.

Help for large sprocket and disc brake mount.

Nope. Mounted the whole assembly to the workbench and ground it flat and level using a granite slab and paper + wooden supports to make sure the slab was level when it slid around. Are you serious about piano wire? because it was a pain to straighten the pins then re-rivet the chain back...

Help for large sprocket and disc brake mount.

The four fine pitch bolts allowed me to align the sprocket perpendicular to the axle/ slight concentric adjustment because they were on an angle. and the welded assembly concentrically mounted it. The links initially snapped because I used copper wire as a master link. Once I broke down and...
