GOD ****!!! all that only to torque the ****ing rod... why do arc had the brillian idea of using ****ing 12 point bolt that no one haves a socket for!!! i do have a set of 12point sockets but it stops at 3/8.... i'm pissed, no engine work until i get my ****ing socket

ok but they do make hi-grade 6 point bolts too... oh well

thinking about painting the whole engine in hi-temp flat black paint any thoughts? i think it would look neat!

Then sand off the paint on the fin edges for that Harley look.

I want to do that to mine, but the rest of the kart looks like crap.

Your telling me about the socket lol. I even posted about me having troubles finding the socket in my clone buildup thread. we drove to about 3-4 different stores with no luck for 1/4x1/4x12pt only in 3/8" locally so I had to order and wait for a socket from Snap-On tools. That little socket was like $20.

They probably used a 12 point bolt cause in small sizes like these the socket holds better than a 6 point would.

You guys are lucky you dont wrench on cars for a living. I cant count the number of times I needed some special tool, bought it (at a ridiculous price from Snap On) and then never needed to use the dam thing again.
