Its on there. I have stacked other washers along with it so the two aligned but that does not leave enough space for the other part of the driver pulley to be securely attached.

I have a Tav2 30 Torque converter bolt-on kit on my Predator 212. It's been burning through belts and I think it is because the two pulleys aren't aligned. Is there any way to fix this?

You could just buy a $70 clone TAV 30 bolt on and move the sprocket on to the left side. That's what I did and it's probably the cheapest and easiest thing to do.

Is the belt supposed to be that far into the driven pulley? Every torque converter I've seen has the belt right on the very edge of the pulley like in the picture. Does it make a difference? Maybe he needs a new belt?

Make sure your throttle cable is not too tight. Mine was so it rolled when i started it. Just loosen the cable to make sure the throttle arm returns completely.

I would definitely check the type of brakes and their condition. When I bought mine the guy said the brakes worked and I forgot to check. $40 dollars for new brakes...

I didn't wire the switch up wrong, I had it on and it was working fine, I just disconnected it for a second and put it exactly the same it was before. The engine is 3 or 4 months old but hasn't been run much. I'm gonna try starting it again and see what happens

For my kart I took my old sprocket and hub and centered and bolted a new bigger sprocket on it. Then I had them welded together. This will waste the old sprocket but you won't have to buy a new hub. I wouldn't do this if you plan to use te 60 tooth for something else.

I'm so glad I found this because I have the exact same problem. I have a predator 212 with a 6:1 gear ratio and big off-roading tires. What could I do to fix the problem?

Thanks itsid, I'll buy the engine and TAV kit along with a mounting plate. If it works out, great, if not I guess I'll need to buy a jack shaft. Eric87, yeah that's what I was planning on doing. I don't think there's a key way on the left side of the shaft, but can't I just cut a key way? If...

Thanks for the advice. I'll look for the original engine but this go kart is from 15 years ago. If I end up using a predator, why won't a TAV kit work and why would I need a jackshaft?
