"SchizoBallz" gets a new thread started...........

Original "SchizoBallz" thread now over a year old and way too big a read, so starting off fresh and new. This is the follow-up build to the "DragginBallz" minibike build I spent a year on to guarantee it was so stupidly dangerous it would maim or kill whoever bought it. Shipped it to Ohio...

Accuracy discovery about free GPS downloads...........

Have downloaded 3 different free GPS to my phone trying to find one to match my van's analog speedometer, all only read about 80-85% of what the speedometer reads. But they're accurate, it's the van speedo that's whacky, here's something you can check................. Van has an ELECTRONIC...

    Predator 212 compression

Trying to help SquidBonez find out if his 50 psi compression on his 212 is acceptable. It's a stage 2 mod. motor, and he may have some hi-perf upgrades to compression, but for now just wondering what stock compression should be. Also, if anybody knows what that compression should be if upgraded...

How much pullrope are you using?????

I've read many posts and seen videos about people nearly getting fingers broken by the violent "snatchback" of pullropes. Experienced some of that myself on hotrodded Predator 212 @ 12 hp., and recently with my current 212 @ 15+ hp. Many people have automatically thought about there being...

Bigger than 6" split rims wanted.......

Does anybody know where I can order a pair of split rims larger than my 6" ones? Any/no hub will do, I can make that part up. Do larger ones even exist in a split config? I don't want to even try mounting or dismounting little tires on a solid rim, I'm too much of an angry impatient guy to deal...

Rod ends/ball joints range of motion???

Would like to hear some opinions on the use of tie rod ends bolted to steering spindles (fairly long travel suspension) as opposed to using ball joints with their steering spindle bolts as a part of them already. It's range of motion I don't know about, not to mention strength. The pair of...

    Worried about motor torsion.....

My current ongoing build ("SchizoBallz") is getting to the stage where I mock up the motor mounting location, including with the CVT (TC, whatever) installed. Looks like the original idea is still in play, the motor's level of course, and the CVT is hanging straight down from it, and it looks...

    "SchizoBallz" kart build started......

"SchizoBallz" is a Predator 212 (hemi)-powered schizophrenic kart that's the follow-up to my "DragginBallz" minibike build with the same engine. She'll be just as one-of-a-kind unique as before, schizophrenic because she'll be both a boonie-crasher with a foot of ground clearance between the...

Need help with adding brake fluid.....

Need input on hydraulics...…..Wanting a master cylinder/caliper/20" hose setup for $21, and replace the hose with a 86" for $12 (free movement of swingarm). Really want a remotely mounted reservoir ($5), where obviously you can add fluid if you have that setup. Problem is in getting a tube for...

    Cheap manual calipers alright?

Never mind. Just remembered about the crazy travel of the swingarm. Would have to use significant cabling to activate them without cable drag issues. Going hydraulic with 86" braided line, and with that much line at least I won't even have much mechanical linkage to make to actuate it.

    Snapping off any 3/4" axles???

Considering store-bought spindle and bracket setup (from MFG) for scratch-build kart, $23.99 each. Heaviest they carry is 3/4" in 3 lengths, would get the longest (6" axle) and bush it down to minimum I need. Getting bolts and bushings and not having to drill the 4 holes for the bolts sounds...

Need a compression release on a 212 Hemi....

Anybody got any ideas on how to release the compression on a 212 Hemi? Last one had such a nasty kickback that I've decided this one will get some sort of compression release, something like I've had factory on dirtbikes (think early 70's Yamaha thumpers). Having a little momentum going before...

Need input: hydraulic vs. manual calipers....

Never mind, going hydraulic with 86" braided line. Would delete post If I could figure out how.

    How to buy nitrous.........

Anybody know how you get nitrous bottles filled these days? My HVACR world has always been bottle exchanges for oxy and acet, CO2, nitrogen, etc. Never refilled anything.

    Nitrous sizes......

Been looking at videos where nitrous is used, only getting sales info on the little one-shot, same kind of cartridges you get for CO2 bb guns. Once you pierce the plug you can't remove it without dumping the remaining charge in it. Wanting larger bottle with a valve that can be turned on/off...

    Choice of tire types......

Starting a new project, a scratch-build gokart with a modified Predator 212. Want to dual-purpose it with tires that will get traction offroad and crawl over things like curbs and holes, but will also be able to powerslide out on asphalt in a hotdog turn, maybe like when doing a doughnut. Slicks...

    Question about "steering damper"......

Need some input from those who have used the "steering dampers" they advertise a lot of on ebay. My only experience is with heavy ones used on Harleys etc., would be too much for a minibike. Want to take some of the quick movement out of my front end, the thing is terrifying fast, and even...

"Unrestricted but quiet" sound test on YouTube.

Uploaded sound test of my so-called "quiet but unrestricted" exhaust system to YouTube when it wouldn't upload here. Type into YouTube search bar: "quiet but unrestricted" and it will be the first thing that pops up. Says "Proving my "quiet but unrestricted" claim." Don't forget to read...

To #35 or knot w/excessive horsepower.

To win with #35 chain, or knot it up, when you've got 12+ hp...... My experience says #35 won't make it. As soon as I applied all that horsepower through a CVT (torque converter) to an almost new #35 chain that was well proven to run nice on a 12/60 tooth setup w/spring tensioner without...

Unrestricted and quiet, 2 words never used together.

Fairly quiet, yet 99% unrestricted exhaust: I custom built one with an educated guess after drawing it up as a schematic plan on a notepad. Uses the basic principle of noise-cancelling headphones, that matching sounds running into each other will cancel each other out. Mine has 4 full 180-degree...
