Need help with adding brake fluid.....

Need input on hydraulics...…..Wanting a master cylinder/caliper/20" hose setup for $21, and replace the hose with a 86" for $12 (free movement of swingarm).
Really want a remotely mounted reservoir ($5), where obviously you can add fluid if you have that setup. Problem is in getting a tube for it to attach to the master cylinder. Pictures of masters that come with a reservoir show an odd looking connection that seems to be where the sight glass on assembly above is, but those would require buying a separate caliper, price keeps climbing here.
Any ideas how to replace sight glass with a tubing connection? And I'm only guessing that you're supposed to pop out the sight glass and funnel in some fluid if needed on setup above. Help help!

No pics, don't know how to copy......

No pics of the odd tubing connection (sort of tear-drop shape), don't know how to copy those over. However, finally found a reservoir tubing/master cylinder connection that's round, looks just like replacing the sight glass with the tube ($10.15).
I'll just buy the $10.15 setup, transplant the tubing to the sight glass connection on the cylinder I want and vice versa, have the setup I want, and have a spare master cylinder with sight glass to boot.
Pics of this build will be forthcoming as it progresses. So far it's $1,116.18 out of pocket for materials and the only thing built is the engine, hot-rodded up on the bench. Should get 7200 rpm's out of it now, and maybe 14 hp. after the exhaust is built.

I’ve never heard of replacing the sight glass with a tubing connection? You mention tear drop style, so figured I’d show mine maybe it’ll help you? My rear master will be controlled by a front bar lever and rear foot lever (same master). The handlebar lever has a sight glass and fill cover.
Loading pics is easy....(although sometimes my pics are sideways) you’ll need to figure it out, reading your post it’s tough to visualize what your trying to accomplish.

That's the teardrop!!!

Shep, that red teardrop-shaped block you're showing on that m.c. is exactly the shape the ebay seller has on their m.c. with a tube to the reservoir cup attached there instead of your red block. There's that shape of a plastic piece fitting over the teardrop opening in the m.c., with the tube running off from there to the plastic reservoir cup.
Like stated, I did find an ebay seller that has an m.c. with the round (instead of teardrop) opening, with a round piece fitting over the opening like your red block fits over your teardrop opening, then with the tubing running off to the cup.
Studied youtube about popping out and replacing the sight glass that usually goes in that round opening, figure I can do the same with the fitting for the tubing, swap them around.
M.C. with cup measures 195mm overall, 40mm bolt spacing.
M.C. I'd rather have is 220 overall, 40/50mm spacing, and has a second "barrel" on top of the working "barrel" as opposed to just the working "barrel" by itself of the other. Just seems like a better unit, guessing only. At worst I can just use the smaller m.c., as long as I don't destroy anything trying to pop the fitting out beforehand.
About the pics, I know how to upload my own pics from computer, but it's the ebay stuff I can't figure how to copy over to here, like for example the m.c. with the reservoir cup.

For eBay or any pics really (from my I-phone) just take a screen shot then on the forum while writing scroll down hit go advanced/choose photos/ upload photos/ scroll down close window and your done.

Done now, easier than thought......

Thanks for all the pointers, y'all. Decided to just plow ahead, installed master cylinder beside seat at max reach of 84" line from caliper (w/plenty of room to flex w/swingarm, no wearing out via motion).
Learned how the masters work by just opening the plastic cap and pushing in the plunger. Nothing tries to overflow out of the hole, and the capacity of my little chinese unit is about a good thimble-full. Just set the caliper up on a shelf temporarily, held the master downhill from it, and pumped/refilled until it came out the raised end of the line.
Surprised to find that line has very narrow I.D., only took about half dozen refills to finish. Tightened line down, reinstalled master and caliper, looks like working fine.
NEW QUESTION: Is 6" the largest wheel out there that comes as a split rim? Believe I'll be wanting to upsize the rear the first time I get to test drive it. Just don't want to ever fight a mounting on a solid rim, much pain and damage would doubtless happen.
