Oh crikey... It looked like castiron on my phone... but ya I see it now(on my PC).. It was all the dirt on the block.. that made it look that way...

It couldn't be honed out a bit???? ... I'm sure it'll smoke a bit... But if the rod's not buggered... I'm sure you'll get it to run again without machining the bore. Am I totally wrong??

The charge coil is about what you got, to be expected... This is meant to have a battery with it for the electric start, and it just tops it up a bit.. Might be able to run a light.. best have a battery with it. On these motors, ignition system is completely separate from the charging stator...

Hehehe... I love it... Does the kick still work to start the engine??? I have one of those loncin atv motors... It's an auto without a gear selector... I'm going to look into this and see if I can giver a go with this style of conversion, but keep a look out for a manual engine.

This is really good work... I definitely like this project... Having the jug being a bolt on and all other parts relatively compact enough... This could be a bolt-on to a top mount for a clone... I wonder if it'll work with the automatic transmission variants though??? ... Either way...

Initially I bought a few feet of the wool, but then I found out(at least the going consensus was) that in order to use it, you'll also need some refractory cement to encase it.... I didnt buy that so I went with the bricks instead as the final build, shelved the wool for now... It was some...

In the end the motor is too small to really get a tuned pipe.... It can be worked on to gain points of improvements... but thats in a racing world. Cut/weld at your content...

Yes ball or needle bearings...

Bearing clutches need grease not oil... They need to have the center bolt have grease through hole drilled and a grease nipple installed, aswell as having the shaft have a hole for the grease to come through.... Once this is done.. thay can have a good life and usuall have better heat...

On end... it should be plenty.... Whats the thickness??

Side plate gaskets need to be the paper type as the set the crank end play... Gasket maker thins out too much to be this offset.

Pin vice helps for holding the bit when you are drilling the jets. The jets are just big enough to hold, and the pin vice helps so you can drill straight...

French toast... Denny's, has a pretty good breakfast selections... I cant really cook that well... But definitely like that for breakfast..
