I removed it because I was having trouble tuning it and hooking up my throttle cable (I already had the throttle hooked up to the old carb). Its easy enough to switch but my 2 hp carb seems to working pretty darn well my gokart moves now :D

Hey so I mounted it on my kart today but I couldnt get it to rev right so I switched out the carb for the one off the 2 hp engine. How much will this limit the power? if its serious then ill try to figure out the bigger carb.

Would you recomend grabbing that or getting a 50cc pocket bike motor and making my own board, I guess the real question is would that be a higher quality engine?

lemegacool how easy were the repairs, cause after reading up on pocket bikes aparantly you only get a few hours out of an engine, is there something that consistently fails or are the engines just poorly built?

Its because you want to get the rpms down on your wheels, 3600 rpm at the wheels would make a kart go ridiculously fast but there wouldnt be enough torque to even get it started. By having a larger gear on your engine you increase the rpms which reduces the torque further.
