So my engine wanted ad on craiglist is still working out well, I just picked up an edger very similar to my first engine for $5 its got an old looking briggs on it but its in pretty good condition and runs well after a wee bit of tuning. I looked at the stamped numbers on it and Im pretty sure it says its a 98 but it seems older because of the way the case is built and put together and because its got a hand wrapped starting mechanism. However the paint is in pretty good condition and other than the muffler its basically rust free. I could be completely wrong and its a 98 but Id like your guyss input. Also if you could tell the hp and displacement thatd be awesome

I know year doesnt matter I just like to know cause I think its pretty interesting. On a much more important note, how do you think this would work on a motorized bike, I want to get an old school cruiser and stick this on it, keeping the vintage look going.
