Yeah, I did. I apologize for the delay. Been busy this week. I'll grab you the tire size this evening, if i have time.

    restrictor ve torque curve

No, a restrictor plate is installed in addition to the insulator.

    WTB: rims/wheels

I'm not using them, so they're looking for a good home. I've got slicks w/ innertubes on them now. Would those be of any use to you? It looks like UPS ground shipping would run about $20. I'd do $35 on the rims alone, or $50 for the rims, tubes, and tires; shipping included in price.

    predator carburator

What? We assume you mean fuel injection. Is this correct? If so, you can't "just plug a hole on bottem of carb". Fuel injection is a finely-tune, electronically controlled, closed-loop system.

    WTB: rims/wheels

Oops, linked to the wrong wheels. I have the rear pair that would be exactly what you need. Currently attached to a 1" dia axle with a 1/4" keyway and stepped ends. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/tools/product_34813_34813

I have a pair of these out in the shed that I'd be willing to part ways with.

    Alternator- Parasitic Drag?

Shoot, ever seen an old John Deere started by hand? The compression release consists of a tube running from the compression chamber to a valve on the side of the engine, and you turn it over by turning the (smooth) flywheel.

GX 270 low compression, oil consumption

You should have done some investigative work before you pulled the motor apart. A dry compression test (you need to spin the engine backwards to defeat the compression release and achieve accurate readings), followed by a wet compression test would have told you the condition of the rings...

    Dremel tool

Like a drill. Lets you use any accessory with a shank under 1/4 inch or so. Cost me $10.

    Dremel tool

If yours doesn't already have it, buy a chuck for it. I got tired of the stupid little collets and swapped in a Dremel brand chuck. So much better now that any size tool will fit.

Oh, no, no. Perfectly legal here.

    Lowes Lexan for a windshield

Why wouldn't we be able to? Steel-core Russian surplus is the cheapest 7.62x54r to shoot. Can't hunt with it or shoot it at indoor ranges, but you can throw steel and lead down range all day long.

    Lowes Lexan for a windshield

I think the whole store's inventory of Lexan, cut into 6"x6" squares and layered together might do it. The steel core certainly wouldn't help :surrender:

    Lowes Lexan for a windshield

Interesting. Try that with my 7.62x54r Nazi Slayer

Help, don't know what kind of battery to use

Overamping isn't possible. Voltage pushes, amperage is pulled.

Help, don't know what kind of battery to use

Alternators produce 3-phase AC, which is then rectified to output 12V. Backfeeding 12V won't make it spin.

    Frig. Seriously?

Yeah, the lack of wood on this rifle is a bit alien to me. Now, :backtotopic:

    Frig. Seriously?

Thinking back about technology, even I feel old. -Everyone had dialup internet (if they even had a computer) -Computers had floppy disc drives -Disney movies came on VHS in blow-molded plastic cases -Color printers were expensive -Cassette tapes -CD's were really bad about "skipping" -Flat...
