    Go cart tires

The first thing you need to consider is how you will be using the cart. If you are just messing around and maybe not always staying on clean pavement, racing slicks are not a good choice. Racing slicks are expensive and they get sticky when they get hot (when they are new). This is what makes...

    go kart galaxy spindles?

Those are the Azusa spindles and they are really designed to work in any orientation. Caster and camber can only be set depending on how you weld on your spindle brackets. In some applications Ackerman becomes a real problem with these spindles if you try to use the stock holes in the steering...

    Jokes :D

This morning I was standing next to a very fat fellow at a urinal when suddenly for no discernible reason he confided in me that he "hadn't seen his thing in 15 years". Not knowing why he suddenly decided to confide such personal information to a complete stranger, and not knowing what else to...

    Different size front/rear wheels

You may want to consider going to a 5 inch wheel in place of a 6. Tires can get a lot more expensive when you make that jump from 5 to 6. So make sure you price the whole package of wheel, tire and tube before you start buying parts. A good deal on a set of 6 inch wheels may get expensive...

    Rear Live Axle Tires HELP

You need to spend some time looking at whats available and what it costs. There are a few options. You can go with a hub and then bolt a 4 lug wheel to that. But the hub is about $40 each and then you need the wheels. Or you can go with a live axle wheel. Probably the least expensive way to...

Rim/Sprocket for 1 wheel wonder rig?

Is there a problem with how it's welded to the rim? It looks OK. As long as it's on there straight, go with it.

    Can you weld up rims?

Could i weld the rim easily without removing the tire? NO! But removing the tire and mounting it back up when you are done is not that difficult.

Are turf savers any good for dirt?

The Turf savers really don't have a lot of space between the tread blocks. Thats why they call them turf savers. As such, they don't "dig" in and get a lot of grip. If you are doing a lot of off road, you would be better off with a knobby tire.

    Burning through tires... suggestions?

We sell a heavy duty concession kart slick that is very hard rubber compund and lasts a long time. The trouble is they don't make it to fit a 4 inch wheel. The smallest wheel it fits is a 5 inch wheel. And they are expensive! But if you are going through tires that fast, it might be worth...

not really a go kart but need ideas

Before you waste time trying to build a frame, spend some time getting the engine running. If you can't get it running it won't matter anyway.

    Question about neighbors

My 2 cents...first thing you need to do is to slide by the local cop shop and talk to them. That way you know where you stand and what to expect if the neighbor does call the cops. Putting a quieter muffler on the cart is all fine and dandy, but I don't think that is going to help in this...

    Cheap Bucket Seat?

A 4 x 8 sheet of sheet metal probably isn't as expensive as you think. 22 gauge here runs about $25 a sheet. So if you have a way to pick it up from the steel yard, you can make a nice sheet metal seat pretty easy. Start with a big sheet of cardboard and a roll of masking tape. Cut and tape...
