I'm also in Australia and would only own a Ford if it was given to me, and even then I'd probably sell it.

The problem with running no header is that cold air can contact the hot exhaust valve, causing it to become brittle and then snap. Very bad. Backpressure, or lack of it, cannot damage the valves.

well i took the carb apart and the silicone swelled up alot lol. and aparently theres no pilot jet in there. no wonder it ran so rich

heres the setup. i got some real fuel line now. last night it was aquarium tubing that i stretched to 1/4"

Use Loctite #598 ,sparingly, instead and then torque to spec.

yeah and it was some special rtv stuff

we have some silver/gray gasket maker and some red detroit diesel gasket maker

well i wont need it. i got a similar one from the harley dealer for $5, kawasaki wanted $10 for gasket and jet each. also ordered #40 jet from harley. both things for under $10.

its a high altitude jet but the only other one they had was a 35 and a 42. i needed a 38

There's many kinds of RTV. The stuff ed1380 used is obviously not the right RTV or it would not have swelled.
