i got me an engine. kl600. WOOT im so happy. all those times of bad luck have payed off. it even has a freshly rebuilt carb.
yall will never guess how much it cost.

well heres the obligatory pics.








anyone know where i can find more info on it? i have found exploded diagrams, but no hp, etc

maybe. i was thinking more of sidewinder or similar

now that i got an engine its time to reinstall solidworks and finish

That's the perfect engine for a sidewinder. Wish I had one instead of my GS-500F.

Don't know about specs. A KLR-650 is 42hp but a LOT of torque, just to give some idea of what it should be around.

I don't think it's 46hp, more like 40hp. As I said before, a KLR-650 makes 42hp so I think it would be unlikely for an older model 600 to make more power.

BUT YEAH! It will definitely have enough power for whatever you want to push. Good luck!

O. Thats still pretty good.
If it was slow for a motorcycle them how would it do with a buggy

or maybe is should rebuilt a klr600. all i would need is a frame, tank, intake filter, and intrument panel. he gave me everything else
