Aint that the truth!
You have to go to Church to hear actual Natural singing talent.

Hmmmm....church or bar???? Guess I'll miss out on that natural talent....:surrender:

Just kidding....no...you don't have to limit it....you just have to find the right people in the right place at the right time.

To think the NFL has the best football players in the world is ridiculous...to say that the Olympics host the best is equally incredulous....they're definitely good...but there's better that for whatever reason aren't there....sometimes the best just fall through the cracks...

Especially the downhill Olympic events....I've been going downhill for as long as I can remember! !!!

No I just meant "Auto tune"
any body with a pretty face and a good agent is suddenly A Rockstar. Pop music is a bunch of No talent hacks using computers to make them sound decent and people just eat it up buying records.

There are very few anymore that could make the top 40 on actual vocal Talent.

I agree. It's too bad that "Autocorrect" doesn't fix stupid....and somehow folks still manage to mangle the written word...and join these forums a "legend in their own minds!!!"

Well, music always was and always will be a generation thing.
I'm sure most of us annoyed our parents with "our" music,
as much as they annoyed us with theirs...
And now kids annoy us with "their" music as much as we annoy them with ours...

Frankly, we had the "what do you listen to" topic a while back..
and I wouldn't want to listen to most of it... as little as you'd want to listen to the music I fill my iPod with.

Well.. Gossip was popular a while back, and Beth Ditto is anything but a pretty face.
Bruno Mars AFAIK is one of those Talentshow winners..
and although that's not my kind of music, I must admit he is pretty talented as well and he's also good looking.

I think the main issue is finding a good songwriter,
Personally I'm sick of depressing songs of whiney girls (and that includes grown men).
Get on with it.. cheer up.

I'd rather depressing songs.. then some hack repeating the same thing OVER AND OVER AGAIN. or my favorite. "made up words" or a combination of the two..

Side note. I just made the most poormans pizza ever... whitebread. pepperonis. and cheese and some canned sauce. lmao

Depends.. does it have to be my actual backyard. or just walking around in the backwoods...

cause my "backyard" will be dried grass, sand, and dog poo. maybe some week wacker string and a lego or two...

sooo.. I'm thinking. fishing rod holders on one side, and rifle rack on the other on my motorcycle.. the only issue is do I point the barrel towards the ground, or straight up in the air... sure as **** not pointing it at the back of my legs, or behind me... that makes ME nervous, even tho im always super careful with loading an unloading. been looking at how police carry their AR15s, but their bikes are like x2 the size of mine.. I don't have much "real estate" on my itsy bitsy bike.

I COULD make a bracket and mount it over the headlight.. but when I get a windscreen hopefully sooner then later, I'd have to remove it.

I also have to find a way to lock it up, so I don't have to carry it into where ever I'm going if I stop...

Well then what good is having it if you do not carry it into where you are going if you stop.

well on the trip to the woods for some deer hunting you wouldn't want to take your rifle into the gas station just because you needed a refill..

that MIGHT look somewhat... uhm -say threatening- to bystanders...
one might get shot by the police... for refilling the bike on the way...

I think a locked gun on the bike is a much safer approach ;)

I like this one:
shotgun%20on%20bike.jpg

one baaad MF (that's "motorcycle firearm" just in case you wonder ;))

But after all.. you wouldn't want someone to mess with it while you're in a store either..
so a locked compartement is maybe the best option;
there are threaded-cap metal storage tubes in nearly all sizes (Art supply, not home depot) rigid and lightweight.. and noone can see what's inside.
or plastic (more lightweight, less rigid)
bonus, they almost always come with a carrying strap.

I had one such thing mounted to my sis's motorbike back at the university to carry large plans, paintings and such in the summer..
but I must admit, mine isn't big enough for even a kids rifle.
Anyways, see what's available and go from there.

That is a cool bike lock, and a cool gun. But the pistol grip on that Shotgun is Illegal in 47 States.

yeah I want it locked for sure. everything I come up with so far, is getting one piece welded to the actual frame. to run the lock too.

I'd like to do what sid sorta said, and have it covered, but as I said, there's just not a lot of room on the bike for large stuff.. also want it to be kinda universal size.. so going to gunshows and such if I do pick anything up I can carry it back. but still keep it locked up, I'm leading to one of those fabric/metalweaved bicycle "chain" locks. they are used around here for locking up generators/large water pumps to large construction equipment as to not get stolen, and they work VERY well.

also 3 inch slugs out of a pistol gripped shotgun. can you believe what your nose might look like afterwards...?

'boys night ought

Well....this is kind ov an interesting story....that will never happen again...but was probably the best night of my life without multiple females involved.

Soooo....I'm probably around 12 years old....and my best friend in the whole world suggests we go down to the River. He knows how to get there by bus. I'm white, he's Hispanic. Somehow, our moms agree and we take off....As far as I can remember, we had less than $5 between the two of us....

We hit the River in late afternoon....Fiesta was in full bloom....and everything was bought by coupons....apparently, the old folks were enjoying themselves as we found dropped coupons everywhere.....( this was on the San Antonio Riverwalk.....and tourists come from all over).....

Soooo....we're going along like little kids on an Easter egg hunt...and before long, we have more coupons than we can spend.....

Then we come across a Mexican wedding reception that was over....I look over and see a Coke stand that's empty....I get behind it....and everything is working.....so....I go into business! I'm barking as folks go by: Coke, Dr.Pepper, Sprite, or suicides....twenty five cents a cup! Before long I've made quite a bit of money.

You know though, a 12 year old has a short attention span....so it was time for some fun......We noticed a few people watching us....(so after a quick conference) ....we staged a business related conflict....and got into a knock-down go for broke brawl....we were punching each other and knocking the other one over tables...(basically...your average old west barroom brawl) ....someone came and broke it up and we just laughed and ran away.....(we made it look REAL good):lolgoku:

We went home with over $10 a piece in our pockets, had all we could eat and drink, and had the night of our lives for less than free.

Never happen again.....I mean....we went downtown by ourselves ....until after dark....( see...maybe moms were smarter back then..."If you love something, let it go....if it doesn't come back, .....more for the smarter kids!":lolgoku:

BTW: I highly recommend a San Antonio trip if you're anywhere close. The San Antonio river experience is like Bourbon Street....really no place else like either of them.

Also....now there's Sea World down there....I don't care who you are: when Shamu comes out, you will get goosebumps and your neckhairs will stand on end....And it's very entertaining after that....

There's of course a lot of other entertaining things to do....and if your VERY lucky ....you can feed and pet dolphins, but THEY choose who they let do that.....

But....there's also a TON of other stuff in the nearby area, like glass bottom boats, caverns, and the Poboy birthplace museum!

Oh yeah: Almost forgot: HoneyCreek State Park...(It's actually in my Grandfather's ranches back forty back fence)..

Oh.....yeah, one last chest thumping....watched a Jaques Pepin cooking show, ...and saw it was sponsored by my ancestral family's business....(well,....one of them....) and the wine glass business is still the best in the world in quality!

Make sure you include Ft.Sam Houston in your day stops. Go out and play with the deer.... Now....one thing me and my evil brother used to do is feed them cigarettes....(it doesn't really hurt them, it's just funny how nuts they go over them!) And it sets them up for the next step.....(and by the way...you can skip this....it just gets them a little more attatched to you...than the average Joe)...

So...... Then...start petting a doe....(you'll find them very receptive...even without cigarette bribes)....

Now....everyone has probably done this...scratched a dog's rear end just right....and gotten the hindleg scratch response.....

Wellllll.....the zone is very close to the same for the whitetail deer....but it's very close to the tailbone...but maybe 6" towards the front....anyway....when you hit it...you'll know....she will drop like a bag of rocks....and become completely helpless....

I've been searching for such a zone in human females, and so far....have only got arrest records for my trouble!!!!!

But seriously, that's kinda a cool thing that I would venture to say is privy to a very small percentage of the population....

(Gotta remember, the Poboy plays with wild animals part time) ...

Just a little rambling....(that's why I started this thread anyway) ....

But ya know...every now and then....I think about my brushes with death or serious injury....

I had a friend that thought it was a good idea to chain a pitbull to his front porch...

I always hated that ....and thought it was the stupidest idea ever....how the heck are you supposed to knock on the door?

Anyway....I came over one day and he wasn't home....but another dog wandered in a little too close....and this pitbull was all over him (he had a pretty long chain)....sooooo....luckily this pitbull had ahold of the other dogs collar and and not it's neck...Still....it was going to strangle this other dog...

So...I moved in...I couldn't get this pitbull off this other dog...(he was committed! !!!)...soooo....rather than trying to pull them away....I proceeded to beat the crap outta this pitbull....he let go in a couple of minutes...and tucked tail and obeyed my command to get his butt back on the porch...

But he could have just as easily torn me up...Don't kid yourself friends, life is a combination of luck, circumstances, and sometimes Divine intervention....
