Speaking of Sammy....he's a weird critter...he follows me around like a puppy...he knows wherever I'm. at...and sometimes snuggles up to me for hours....but he's not happy unless he bites me three times a day...what the hey....a match made in Heaven...most days... have to kick him in the butt a few times....(its a guy thing)...

But one thing is clear...this cat loves the crap outta me....and I don't know what I'd do without him....

Wow!!!! Just. wow!!!! My neighbor called me and said someone kicked in his back door. So....I'm like why? He's saying the same thing...WTF did they think they we're gonna find besides roaches, rats, and empty alcohol containers? (Trust me....that's no exaggeration! )

This is like a 70 year old one bedroom 500 sq. ft. house....with a mentally challenged, alcoholic resident....that's a trust fund kid...who uses all that money to get drunk!

Jeeze....I just hope I didn't leave fingerprints.....JK!

Oh crap!!!!! I almost forgot!!!! I have 4 blue crabs and a couple of pounds of crawfish taking a saltwater bath in my bathtub! !!!

I know...it sounds a little funny...but when you put crawfish in salt water....they puke...and turn the water brown....(they taste much better then)....the crabs....basically just have a drink and take a leak....at the least...they're at their most highest moisture level....

Gotta get back to the crabs, shrimp, and crawfish....(my fingers were wrinkling up after 3!) Anyway....gonna make some seafood pasta...(trust me....this stuff is good with crappy seafood.....and I've got some REALLY good stuff! !!!)

Live blue crabs, Louisiana crawfish, and Texas gulf brown shrimp.....heck ....you can throw them on a cow patty and still have a good meal!!!! But this pasta dish also includes fresh parmesan, cracked black pepper and fresh parsley....(right now....the parsley is in the garden!!!!! The parmesan is ungrated.....(and quality) ....

Ohhh...yeah.....

BTW: I've been doing a remodel for a woman across the street....but I've been sick for a month....and she works a lot....so...I told her I was going to bring her supper tonight.....she said she doesn't like seafood or pasta....we'll see what she thinks tomorrow...because EVERYONE who has eaten this (with less quality seafood) has always responded the same: "You need to open a restaurant!

Actually...I texted her and asked two questions: Do you like oysters...and do you have any seafood allergies? I actually forgot to leave her an oyster...because I have some of the best on earth right now....and...like most seafood...you don't know until you try it....when it's the best....

It's a little bit like Scotch....If you haven't drunk something that costs over $100 a fifth....you've never had Scotch....
BTW: It has to be a lowland single malt...trust me..you probably can't even get a really good one in America unless you get lucky...and if you do...it'll be costly...but..after that...everything else will taste like stale dishwater with ammonia in it._




CRAP!!!! I just remembered.(don't laugh)...but I only cooked 1/2 of those crawfish....the rest are still in my bathtub
Yep...just checked...didn't realize they're quite that many..probably 30 or so...and my tub drain leaks so...they didn't have water...but then again...city water is chlorinated...sooo..it's not exactly good for them anyway...and the sea salt I added earlier makes em puke...oh look!!!a squirrel!!! where was I????Am I rambling?????

Anyway...There's probably 10 dead ones...(they'll feed the live ones) I'm going to grab some chlorine remover..fill the tub up...and deal with them in the morning...gonna cook a few more..but also gonna let some go in my ponds....

A few years back...I had koi and goldfish that were named and trained to take food by hand...

I had Jaws...that was a foot long goldfish...Heckle and Jeckle...two 6" koi that I couldn't tell apart unless they were together...Michael Jackson...(an albino goldfish) and about 7 others that I can't recall the names of....but they were all named and trained to hand feed...Well...I had dumped a dozen crawfish or so in there...and one night...as we were f
feeding the goldfish and koi...here comes this crawfish...and I put a piece of fish food down..and takes it out of my hand...he becomes a regular every night for awhile....I don't know why...but crawfish just don't last like fish do..but that was cool cor a month or so...

Unfortunately, one night...my wife went to top off the pond...and forgot...the backyard was flooded...all the fish were dead from the chlorine...but the pond was REALLY CLEAR! Crap...that tore her up...(bothered me a little too) but I told her hey....stuff happens...but we never rebuilt a population of trained fish...

BTW: I want to take a second to talk about Jeri's Oysters...a lot of guys douse oysters with lemon juice and cocktail sauce...then let them slide down their throats like a raw egg...only swallowing them to try and save face amongst other men....

Oh no...let me tell you...I chew...savour...and really enjoy Jeri's oysters ...and here's why...they are that good....

At first, ...you get a bit of saltiness...like the early morning air at the bay...then...as you chew...the complexities of the gulf...you get hints of corral...all the flavors of the gulf...hints of many different finfishes....but still...an oyster....and a danged good one...and PERFECT!!! Mild yet tasty....to just gulp that down like a shot of bad booze is stupid and a big waste...you must savour a good oyster....and Jeri's are the best....

Most folks don't realize how many oysters and how far they are shipped originate from the Gulf of Mexico...

If you ever have a chance eat some Jeri's oysters....it's the next best thing to harvesting them yourself!

BTW: Just remember: Oysters are best eaten in months with an "R" in them...so hurry!

Got a nasty letter from the lawyers telling me they're gonna take my house....

See...I couldn't pay my taxes....so I went into a payment plan agreement which I defaulted on last month....while I was fighting for my life with that flu and pneumonia....

Soooo....one of the things they don't teach ya in law school is the ballistic parameters of a 30.06....Legally taking possession is one thing ...physically is another....

Awww...heck....I ain't too worried....I made a payment to the taxing entity.....and lawyers talk more trash than some idiots here do....but I'm ready either way....but...since the payment was accepted...(albeit late)...I don't anticipate any problems...but I'm prepared for any eventuality....(kinda wish now I still had my 12 guage tho!)

Just saw Rachel Allen for the first time....OMG!

I kinda dig the different lingo...."tin" instead of can....towmawto instead of toemayto....ect....and the British accent....

But this gal can COOK!....and she doesn't mess around telling you what she's doing....She's also very easy on the eyes....

I'm also a big Rachel Ray fan....

I always enjoy your food rants though... since we live on the same bit of land [kinda.. AROUND the gulf coast at least] I know what you're talking about... lmao now if a NE person started talking about food, and pop. I'd be hella confused. lmao

As for the scotch. america doesn't seem to be too limited by selection, sure some of it cost more then you might be able to get in say the UK. but its obtainable. and honestly, im a light weight [my wallet loves it] so the smallest bottles can last me so long.. but mostly.. I like cooking with whiskey. dunno it just adds a flavor I like.

Seems like Florida is also turning into beer country.. there are some many craft brewery around here! in Tampa especially its good if you like beer..... but means nothing if you don't.

Oh....you're in the Tampon area? Sorry....couldn't help myself....No...My sister in law gave a bottle of lowland single malt Scotch she bought in SCOTLAND...and paido like $50 for....I drank that stuff one shot a day until it was gone....have never found it in the US....or really anything to equal it....(although I haven't tried THAT hard....) but...yeah GOOD Scotch isn't that easy to come by.....and NEVER cheap!

And yeah...gulf coast seafood....well...if you don't know...we can't tell you...do you do the brown shrimp where you're at as well?

Anyway...so I go to the bar tonight and sign up for the pool tournament....the bar owner comes around with this jug...I say "What's this?" She says: "You have to draw a number." (Well...a couple of weeks ago....I drew #1)....

So I say...(toungue in cheek)....'Why? you already know I'm #1?" I draw a number....and she's like SOB! FRIGGING #1! LOL....(You can't make this stuff up! )

I didn't win the tournament...but I text ya what...isn't $5 to enter and I don't really give a crap until now....a couple of guys take that crap too seriously...and I'm gonna beat them like a hated stepchild if I draw them next time....

See...here's how you play pool....unless your opponent is very, and I mean VERY good...you just jack around acting like you're trying to make shots without making them....until your opponent starts reducing his balls consistently....see....if the table is full of balls...neither of you is going to have an easy time running it...

Usually...your opponent is going to get a lot of crap out of your way while eventually trapping himself...then you can move....

And even the very, very. good players are probably going to give you a couple of chances ...even when they're down to two balls.

Of course...there are some that can break the table and run out on you...well...I can do that too...if pressed....but the odds overwhelming favor it NOT happening..
and half running the table...only awakens the sleeping giant....
So...take notice ...and hold back...at least 50% of the time....you're oppenant is going to beat himself...

Soooo....I used to be active on a truck forum years ago and had posted several thousand times ....several members have my phone # and we've talked from time to time....then I lost my computer....I just recently rejoined that forum and because I'm now on a phone with a different IP it was just easier to use a different user name....

So....another member realized who I was and PM'd me to catch up...Well, with all the crap going on lately....we got to talking about stuff...He said he had hernia surgery in December and is just now getting around....then he told me something horrific that I can't wrap my mind around....His mom had been living with him for about a year and a half....she was sitting in a recliner and he said it took him a couple of hours before he realized maybe she wasn't just napping...

I don't think I could handle that.....
