I’m back! I’ve been crazy busy with school but my birthday is coming up so I decided to treat myself and I may or may not have gotten paid in advance for a week of work. Anyways, can anyone guess what I got?:devil2:

Well, for those of you who haven’t already guessed, I decided to treat myself to a lovely little nitrous oxide kit by 6Sigma Jet Kits. When redflash built the engine he added an electric start which means I’m still running a cast-iron flywheel and because of that I can’t use it at full speed. Therefore, I can only use it on launch but I’m sure I’ll still have a load of fun. It was also an excuse to get a jet one size up to give it an extra extra boost

Boy, are you in for a big disappointment. Sorry, a few years ago we had a couple of members try it out and the conclusion was they could not seat of the pants tell any difference. On a well built predator the horsepower and torque was less than 1/2 horsepower they figured. Plus they want to outlaw kids under the age of 22 from buying the Whippit nitrous oxide cartridges. In fact some states have just done that last week.

Well, I guess I’ll have to try it out for myself and see. If nothing happens, I’ll return it. As for the nitrous cartridges, isn’t that what parents are for??

Hey y’all, another quick update here:

I haven’t had much time to work on the art itself but in the hours that I can squeeze in between school and work I’ve started cleaning and organizing my little corner of the garage to restore some order to the chaos that is my workspace .

I tested out the nitrous kit just to make sure everything was flowing right (I won’t actually be installing it on my engine until I get the new engine plate welded up which will probably be a while) and for some reason it wasn’t working right. I opened the thing up and it looked like the inner nozzle thing wasn’t penetrating far enough out to actually puncture the canister. I popped out the little rubber washer/seal and sanded it down a bit. After that, it worked like a charm

I also have these old Bluetooth speakers that pair to each other lying around. I think it would be pretty sweet to add a sound system at some point, what do y’all think?

I also got some cash for my birthday which of course means… More parts, so some of those will be coming soon.
That’s it for now. see y’all in the next one

went on a walk the other day. Found about 13 abandoned shopping carts in this little canyon. I’m tempted to snag one, chop it up and throw it on the kart. What are y’all’s thoughts, should I do it? (I already know my answer 👀)

I’d have to say a hard pass on that idea. You would have to modify it a lot and still would end up with a lot of sharp little spears.

I disagree. All I have to do is cut the “undercarriage?“ Off along with the bottom, and then pretty easily mount it so that all the “sharp little spears“ would be on the underside of the kart. I’ve actually thought how I would do this through before I actually consider doing it

Might want to think about it some more. I’d rather see you safe than sorry. I say that with every fiber of my 56 years on this earth and experience.
