Hey WTR. I have built several of the predator 212's. For carburaters I have used genuine Makunis, the popular 22mm Chinese knock off, and the rejetted stock carburetor. For all out top end speed the slide type carburater will give you the most. But for crisp neck jerking acceleration the rejetted stocker wins hands down. Do your head work, raise compression ratio, a header pipe exhaust, and one of those free flowing air filters. I am at ( or very close to ) sea level. A .036" main jet and a .019" or .020" pilot jet, and she will leap out of the hole. I have run before and after scenarios with built engines on both a kart and on a mini bike.
Both vehicles had either 18" or 19" tires and 30 series torque converters.
