That is way to glossy to be Pepto bismol. Not chalky enough. More like early 90's hot "Bad Piglet" pinkish!

Rims turned out real nice. I would've went flat black, but I choose flat black for everything that is not primary. (y)

Oh yeah, tires!

20251020_151158.jpg

As I've said before, if your not sweating and bloody knuckles, are you really mounting tires?

20251020_160123.jpg

I had to use 2 straps to get the tires to seat the bead.

The bearings were bad. One had been punched in the cover worse than the others and another was completely rusted solid.

Use a socket as a driver.

I put a bolt through the inner spacer to hold it place as I drive on the second bearing.

Still wondering how your supposed to air the tire easily.

What is valve stem access like on the other side of the rim? Could you…bear with me... drill the opposite side for a new Schrader valve and install one, thereby having two valves (easier than blocking off the current one, me thinks)? Don’t forget to drill it directly opposite the factory one if you do, or 180 degrees from it for balancing purposes. Would actually be funny to balance the wheels with wheel weights, etc on a minibike. 🤓

I know theres short and long valve stems but I wonder if they make them with a 90 degree bend like on the inner tubes?

Why doesnt the rotor go on the other side of the wheel?

Oh nevermind, I though that was a removable hub.

Had the same issue with my Monster Moto. Valve was behind the rotor. I was able to find a "sweet" spot were I could get my extended chuck right in there. Was a pain in the @ss first few try's, but found that sweet spot. lol.

Awesome update WTR! The detailed updates throughout are awesome and could be very helpful to someone updating their bike. (y)

Yep. I thought about one of those for the Monster Moto, but knowing I found a way to get my chuck in there changed my lazy mind.

Love the gray rims. Nothing I hate more than a color scheme "gone mad". They pick pink right, which is fine and dandy, but for some it'll be pink on pink on pink. Pink wheels, pink engine, pink seat, pink handlebar grips, pink brake/throttle cables, pink anodized aluminum doo-dads...

Ive figured out how to fandangle the air chuck in there.

Would you both mind sharing that to the forum? Figure if it's a sprocket or rotor, one that has "spokes" and negative space between the spokes would be ideal

Lets take a little side project tonight.
I didn't like my throttle set up. There was a spring in the middle that disconnected my hand from the throttle blade. I was trying to still use the stock configuration with a governor delete.

My cable will come from the rear as my finger points.

20251021_181949.jpg

I took the other cable clamp that I'm not using, and drilled a new home for it.

20251021_184203.jpg

And put it on the bottom.
Like this.

20251021_184212.jpg

Made a mark to know where to give a few bends to raise the bar.

20251021_184626.jpg

Follow along class, this is basic stuff.

20251021_185229.jpg

Trim off the excess rod.
Here's a look from the bottom.

20251021_185648.jpg

And final install will look like this.

20251021_190350.jpg

Full range of motion with fewer moving parts.
Whats not to like.

Of course not!
What did you expect?

20251017_163628.jpg

The can hits the grab bar and fender mount and doesn't align. Dont want to ruin the new pretty paint with a short pipe. So...

20251019_180745.jpg

I dug out a 1"x6" pipe nipple and a coupling. Now we are cooking.

But wait, there's more.

That comment i made about this junk?
See what i mean. Thats just bad. So into the vice you go and with a little help from mr. Crowbar I gave a little tweak and made my OCD feel better.
