How accurate is your CNC plasma? My school has everything except for the CNC plasma and I am interested in this kinda stuff. We used to have a HAAS CNC Mill and Lathe untill well... our dang principal decided to get rid of it.

I couldnt tell you how accurate is in terms of how many inches. But it pretty darn accurate. Of course its not as accurate as a laser, or water. It's accurate enough for what we do.

Ah, Im torn between painting the wheels all black, or cleaning them up and leaving them stock.

I want to paint the bike like a shadow metallic grey too.

Well, Ordered a bunch of parts. All at a very good price from a guy on the XS11 forums.

Got a
ignition,
headlight
gas cap
petcocks
front master
hand controls,
speedo cable

Not bad at all for 65, It would have cost over 100 on ebay.

Also got an 0-85 xs650 speedo off ebay.

yayyy.

Now,

I wait.

We're getting a shrinker stretcher soon,

I'm going to fab my own flat fenders!
Or try to anyhow.

I'm going to have my hub sent to the machinist here in the next day or so. then I will be able to continue.

I need to get pics of my new parts and everything, Its starting to look more like a bike all the time.

The driveshaft adapter is Machined out! just needs to be tig'd together.

But I'm very satisfied with how it came out.

Expect a bunch of pics soon as I have got a bunch of parts since last pics.

Progress ought to go fast now!

Dontcha just hate welding on a nice shiny billet part? I would seriously reconcider TIG welding the peices together. TIG is great for headers, intakes, thin wall tubing ETC but on a high stress high RPM part I would concider MIG. Its up to you though.

It was my understanding that fusing it would be stronger than MIG'n it.

The machinist suggest I TIG it, But idk now,

andd Its not billet lol.
