Waiting to get the adapter built to go from the drive shaft to the gearbox, THen I can start bolting down the engine and clutches and whatnot, then it wont be far to go.

SO I did all that shock work, and now I'm thinking I should just Hardtail it. Its really soft the way it is, I'm thinking I'll just hardtail it and be done with it.

What do you guys think of that.

I would go with the shocks, try giving them a bit more pressure maybe, or maybe getting another shock and going double.

Lol Too late!

I was going to just get a bigger shock, But I just went cut of some frame in preparation for a hardtail conversion.

The shock I had was already pretty big, and I had it on its highest setting and it was just way too soft, it'd drop like 5 inches when you sit on it, and thats without the engine.

I would have had to gotten a really big one from an atv, then readjust the top mount.

This will work out good from what I Can tell so far.

lol Got one side of the hardtail done, mostly.
Ignore the horribly messy garage, I had it cleaned then my brothers messed it all up, I will clean it up a bit tommorow when I do the other side.

That vertical bar has to be cut and pointed inward, I accidently cut them both short too....

And yes, I know, that weld isnt the prettiest, but it is a good strong one, My little flux core welder is hard to get a good looking weld, I want to add gas to it eventually, Or get a bigger welder.

Thats a nice build man but you shoulda kept the suspension, i had a few borderline useable sled shocks i would sent you for the price of shipping.

Im not sure if i already asked but how much was that twin?

Yea, I really wanted to at first, Then today, I just decided I wanted to hard tail it, it was also a good way to close up the frame on the back as well. and I'm liking the look of it.

The twin was 50, I was told it needed a valve job, but when I took the heads of, the valve seat had fallen out, So I took it to school and I replaced the exhaust valve and seat with the intake valve and seat from my junk twin engine, I had to do that because the previous owner had run the engine with the valve seat out and made the hole around the seat too big.

Runs great now.

I think that after you finish it. You should send it here for a rigorous inspection. No less than two months will do.

Haha, Will I can't wait till its done.
I'm hoping I can get it running good and fast enough, That I can get it registered and Ride it to work this summer, (I work like 25 miles away about..)

but, I'm 16, and Im not sure how much my insurance would go up,
and I've read somewhere that with a permit, I could ride during the day, and without a passenger only, Which WOULD BE AWESOME, But I'm not sure if that applies to FL

Yea, I like the looks of this way better, and I'll put a nice springer seat on it.

So what kind of gas milage do you guys think this thing will have?

Hopefully it will run about 60 or 65 or so.

Right now, Biggest thing still holding me back is the adapter to the driveshaft..

I am really new here and this is just my opinion but you may want to cut that shock mount back out. If you are expecting 60+ mph that back tire will oval out and the center may start rubbing as it doesn't look to be much clearance there.

Yea, Its coming out, But I figure I will wait to use the plasma cutter on it, As cutting it out with a grinder would be a nightmare.
