You're talking about this one? I've included it every time.
Leave it off. That's the culprit I've been looking for, 😆 🤣 😂.
That's a nylon lock nut, it don't need a washer, or too tight. Too tight will pop that snap ring off the other side of the shaft. It's a common problem with tavs. I can get into that tomorrow.
I'm headed to bed, musta had too many 🍺, lol. Ttyl

Same here. My intention was to run to Lowes and get lumber for a lean-to I'm building. I still plan to go to Lowes but I'm not getting lumber today. The axle is almost finished and the 7" driven should deliver today so I can move the spring on it. I'll grab some bolts at Lowes and see if I can find 2"x2" tube. I'm still not 100% sure what I'm going to do about the mount. I reached out to the eBay seller for measurements but I doubt I'll get an answer.

I have an idea in my head that's hard to describe but I think I can make my own adjustable mount from another $25 mount plate, some tube with grooves cut in, and a little welding. I'm more confident in my welding ability when I can stand up straight and use a vice.

I looked at that adjustable plate again the other day. It seems like they use it on small mini bikes, that came will 100cc or less engines, and straight chain with clutch, when they swap to a larger engine. I'm still not 100% sure, but looks like they are drilling 4 new holes in the original engine plate, for left /right movement, then use forward/ backwards for chain adjustments.

Well after I pulled my mini out, put it on a milk crate, got 2 bolts outta the tav cover, my dumb a$$ realized, we dont use tav covers on buggys and karts. 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Here ya go. It don't get no straighter then this.
And heads up, 30 series belts ONLY GO ON 1 WAY. If it's put on backwards, it will be smoked in jus a couple of mins. DO NOT ASK ME HOW I KNOW!!!!

😂🤣 Haha. Thanks.

Well I think I'm done for the day unless some parts come in or I decide to swim to Lowes. She's all buttoned up and blue thread locked.

What do you use to lube your axles?

Good job.
Jus regular wheel bearing grease. I usually clean old stuff out, inspect and repack.
Did you try to move that spring in the 6" driven??? To get a feel for it.

Ah ok, I wasn't planning on repacking. I was just going to squirt something on it lol.

No, I haven't. I think I can manage it though.

With everything I'm doing, will this thing still be capable of a slow roll or will it only snatch the tires at full throttle?
