Still hoping they find the lowlife that killed Trevor. They say the police are getting tips and they have some surveillance video that shows the truck speeding up to intentionally knock him off the road. The image is blurry and it goes out of frame just before he gets hit, but it's enough to show that it was road rage. I call it murder.

I am surprised they have not gotten further yet. Usually in cases involving Cops and Firemen they get "special" attention. The investigators seem to take it personally.
Hope justice is found soon.

Found a really cool guy close by that owns a one man automotive repair and speed shop.

Took the '94 up there and FINALLY...he did a hydrocarbon test...(something SOMEONE else was supposed to do)....and sure enough, just as I suspected...it has a small head gasket leak. I'm not sure what my next step is....

He also pointed out...(and I didn't think of this)... before he did the test...that the fins on the water pump can rust away....(and as bad as everything was rusted)...it's probably not out of the realm of possibilities.

But....replacing it would be pointless without addressing the head gasket.

This just in: two snipers opened fire in downtown Dallas tonight....10 police officers and 1 other shot...3 dead....3 in critical condition...

Nobody in custody yet...as far as what is reported.

It's pretty crazy...they have one guy cornered...but the other one they are looking for...just walked in with the rifle in plain sight...taking advantage of the Texas open carry policy.

NOPE!!!! The guy they thought was a suspect had an unloaded AR-15, and gave it to a police officer as soon as shots were fired....according to his brother...and several other people with him....Mark Huges.

Ok...so now Dallas Police Headquarters is under lockdown....WTF? Cops taking cover and moving people back....this is just insanity!!!!

All I can say is...don't try this crap in White Settlement!

---------- Post added at 07:06 PM ---------- Previous post was at 06:14 PM ----------

Oh...and poor Mark Hughes! Really weird stuff there...his brother organized the protest march....as soon as the gunfire erupted...he told his brother to lose that unloaded AR-15....and he handed it over to the nearest cop. I saw it on video. Probably the smartest move ever!

But for about 15 minutes....he was like America's Most Wanted. He broke no laws (maybe) ....see...you can open carry a firearm in Texas....BUT!!!!....you must have a concealed carry license ! I can't do it....and I've yet to see one person who has.

Soooo...the Parking Garage at the Dallas PD headquarters is also across the street from the DART station...(Dallas Area Rapid Transit) ....so all these poor souls just trying to get home have been moved two blocks back.....now...you would think they could take a couple of cop cars and move these folks to another station so they can go home?????

This world is filled with very evil people. Mark Hughes last I heard was still getting death threats, since the Dallas PD put his face on Twitter, saying he was the suspect. He deserves an apology.

The guy killed here in Minneapolis, had a conceal carry permit and was blasted for no reason. BLM blocked off portions of I-94 in protest to Govenor Mark Dayton's truthful, but kind of racist remarks.

Mark Hughes' brother was the organizer of the protest. He convinced Mark to surrender his unloaded AR-15 to a cop as soon as the first shots were fired. It was caught on tape and I saw it. I thought the media did a pretty good job of getting that information out there.

I will be a keyboard cdmmando and say if you and your brother incite a riot and cops die. While attempting to keep the peace.
Well you are pretty much to blame!

Just the other day up here there was protesting that started off peacefully, but a few people decided it was a great idea to throw rocks and stuff at police. Top of that they failed to vacate the highway after numerous, attempts by the police to have them leave. Over 100 people were arrested for it...and some brought there kids along for it...it's a bad situation all around.

Anyway, can't wait for this heat wave to die down a bit. Nice 70* days would be nice, rather than humid 80+ days.

Lol yep. Probably the best thing I could come up with. I've known a few basement dwellers/keyboard commandos and they just like to troll around.

I agree...probably just wrong place, wrong time...but you know, one thing you don't do in Texas...is strap on toy guns...or empty ones...good way to wind up dead.

Perhaps you should spend some time on social media...and find the death threats put out there by the terrorist organization' Black Lives Matter' against the white population at large....I don't appreciate being threatened of being lynched by sponges I've done nothing to....YET!

That's the whole thing about Mark Hughes and his brother....they WEREN'T insighting a riot!!! There WAS NO RIOT... Just one (or more) deranged individuals acting outside of a peaceful demonstration .

Mark and his brother are good people...I can't say the same for much of the 'Black Lives Matter' population.

Actually I deleted my Facebook going on about 2 months now. Got sick and tired of all the BS on there...from whatever was trending, to how they were running the site. Social media, the way I look at is a toxic environment for everyone. You spend less than a minute in the comments section on anything huge and you'll see what I mean.

No one gets a long and even trying to report people to whatever algorithm thing they use, doesn't always work, especially for things that well don't exactly belong on there...yet they don't seem to care too much.

I enjoy smaller communities like here and a few other niche forums...easily moderated and you can find answers easily, usually.

Honestly and I'm going to get flak for this but, it seems like in the last 8 years, we've had more issues on all of this than we did before. Maybe it is because of the lack of social media, or that world coverage was only on certain channels and not everywhere. Social media seems to be more of a curse on society rather than something completely helpful.

I'm only on Facebook to keep up with friends and relatives.....(especially relatives) ....I can't believe these chumps that have thousands of "friends" !

I can barely keep up and delete the BS as is.....and it's just family and a few musicians.

From what I understand the Dallas Rally was in fact a BLM event. Marching through the streets chanting "Pigs in Blanket Fry them like Bacon" Referring to killing Cops and Closing down Freeways to protest is what BLM does! Far from a "peaceful rally" The way I see it is as I stated it, Inciting A Riot. and what do you get in a Riot... well just watch the news. Looting, Arson, Shootings, Destruction of Property, both Public and Private. A BLM RIOT. They were Rallying about a crime in Baton Rouge LA. What in the wide world of sports did that have to do with Dallas Tx and the Dallas P.D. anyway. Sounds like the Hughes Brothers are just criminals waiting to get arrested.

Now getting a permit, and permission to gather at a park, School yard or other public venue and doing so peacefully with your own security and Facilities (porta potties) and then NOT ending it with a Riot in the streets. Fine that would constitute a "peaceful rally"

I feel like they follow Malcolm X more so than MLK Jr. Both had very different ideologies in protesting. One was peaceful and the other was more violent.

I have no idea what their end goal is here, if it's to have the PD curriculum changed so they are not so trigger happy or what. But if you watched any bit of the TV show COPS on, you'd know they treat everyone the same. If you are hostile towards them, belligerent, etc, they'll wrestle you to the ground and cuff you. It took them a long time to disperse tear gas, when they were being pelted with rocks and stuff on I-94...they did not want to resort to it.

So lately I've had this nasty itch to go back into an old hobby of mine... nitromethane R/Cs. Those things are a ton of fun and very noisy...more so than a weed whipper. My personal favorite brand is Traxxas, which is based out of...Plano, Texas.

Little .15cid engines will sin around 28,000-40,000rpm and produce about 1-1.5hp. Major pains to tune, but worth it. Already have an electric truck, but nitro is just so much more.

Yes...this was a 'Black Lives Matter' rally. But let's not twist facts and place blame where not deserved. This WAS a peaceful and uneventful protest and was about to conclude when one deranged individual opened fire.

I cannot and do not agree with anything the 'Black Lives Matter' says or represents...BUT... that is not for us to decide.... The ability to express freedom of speech or bear arms cannot be infringed on. Sorry if the flavor of the week is not what you prefer....it beats the crap out of censorship.

I think that BLM should be categorized as a terrorist organization...but the fact remains...this WAS a peaceful demonstration ....and we all need to remember that...and not demonize or persecute the law abiding individuals that participated....regardless of their twisted views.

It's what makes this Country great...being able to voice your opinion....and...personally, I think these folk are deranged...but...think of the consequences of a central government determining what you can think or say.

I love the 1st and 2nd Amendments as much as the next guy. But how does a Terrorist Organization hold a "Peaceful Rally"?
Is it or should it be legal for a Group of "Child Molestors" to hold a "Peaceful Demonstration"? Just because they do not harm anyone during the "rally"? Of course not! So then is it Censorship? No. Because the very existence of such a group promotes the harming of children, and same with BLM, their very existence is to harm and destroy Police Officers.
