Got myself a new lawn mower
Well new to me
$150 gmc with a 5hp b&s
Runs good
Has a strange setup like a dead mans switch so u cant let go of the handle
Gotta get rid of that
Simple fix (I'm pretty sure you'll figure it out but, I'll speed up the process for you): Follow the cable to the rear of the engine where you will find a lever with a spring & the cable attached, remove both & you now have a manual, hand operated kill mech
well I only had my LH pinky
bruised once, and I was unable to type properly for about two weeks, I didn't even KNEW I used it at all for typing (or anything), apparently I hit the shift key with it (now I know

) And it got in the way all day
'sid
It's amazing how little you
think you use a digit... until it gets damaged & you can't
If it's possible, it will be fixed. I have an appointment with the other best hand surgeon in town next week. Talked with the first best surgeon this week he gave me 75% chance of fixing it, but will be a **** of a surgery.
Either way it would have required surgery, the injury destroyed the joint. Just stupid of me to wait and not have it looked at immediately. (My wife is saying "I told you so" somewhere around here I'm sure........!!!!)
Best of luck with the repair job Robert
So, I haven't been around for about a week so, lots of catching up to do...
Long story short (for those who missed it), I cooked my cars engine, bought a new car (2000 Toyota Avalon) with its own problems, spent most of the week depressed & double guessing myself before sorting said problems rather quickly & inexpensively (but, there's more to come...)
Which leads me to yesterday (Saturday), my birthday; on Friday, I called my usual tyre dealer to check that they had tyres for my car, arrived there yesterday, only to spend the next
two & a half hours having 4 tyres fitted... after they spent the best part of an hour looking for
decent ones (they specialise in used tyres), the first set had about 15% tread left; my reaction was "
OH HE!! NO! They're not much better than what's on the car!"
An hour & an argument later (after I almost walked because I'm now pi$$ed that I was fed a load of dung the day before) the manager
finally got off the phone & his behind to help, but only
after he abused me for the way I dragged
his jack out from under my car ("oh
NOW you want to talk to me..."

)
Tyres found & fitted to car, price negotiated & paid, about to drive off & there's a flat on the front

Wheel back off the car &, yep, there's a hole...
IN THE SIDEWALL!

Good thing we had a substitute for such an incident but, it still cost me 30 minutes...
All in all, a great end to a great week... now I'm gonna go punch someone...
EDIT: Oh, almost forgot, I opened a new carton of cigarettes yesterday (yes, I'm a smoker, deal with it); everytime I had a cigarette, I'd get to the end & think "where's the rest of it?" It wasn't until last night that I found the answer...
Now, just to clarify, we now have plain packaging on cigarettes here so, it's difficult to tell one
brand from another, let alone different variants of the same brand (yeah, you can see where this is going, right...)
Something made me look at the pack &, for the first time since opening the carton, I realised the variant was silver... wait, what? I smoke
reds!
NO WONDER i CAN'T TASTE THE DANG THINGS!
