Has anyone here tried this or at least seen it?

Woohoo! UPS says my motor will be here by 7pm tomorrow. I need to pick up some oil for break in and some gas. It will be the weekend before I can do anything with it. Will post more updates as things happen.

Apparently my bmikarts order will also be here tomorrow via UPS. The front tires are on FedEx and are already 2 days late. I ordered a battery box from Amazon and unfortunately that won't be here until the 8th.

FedEx is the worst. There, I said it. I have evidence.
Indeed, I have multiple items coming from Walmart via FedEx and I'm seeing a pattern. Delivery dates don't match promised delivery dates. At least with Amazon and USPS you know it's going to be slow, but at least fairly reliable. For all I know my packages are sitting in a ravine somewhere.

I guess no one here heard about the FedEx guy who was throwing packages into a ravine. My tires showed up a day late, I have a storage cabinet that was supposed to be here today coming tomorrow, both by FedEx. Meanwhile UPS is getting me stuff across country in two days time. That is assuming it does get here as predicted. I'm supposed to have the motor and wheel tomorrow, the tires are here. The battery is here. The fog lights are here. The clutch is here. The oil is here. My gas can will be here Friday. I only need engine mounting bolts, a throttle cable and misc electrical connectors for the lights and battery connections. Will update as progress is made.

FedEx likes to send me "your package will arrive today" updates, and then late in the day claim they "tried" to deliver it but couldn't because my "business" was closed or whatever. This happens every single time they have a package for me. It is a deceptive and dishonest practice. Therefore FedEx is a weasel organization.

My motor and rim/tire combo showed up today. Box was slightly damaged from UPS, I'll check the contents when I get home
That's no surprise, I've gotten stuff and hade the contents half hanging out with hardware or small brackets missing due to the combined incompetence of the seller/distributor and USPS

This was ups, the damage isn't severe. I think just cosmetic so I'm going to be sure after work.

So I checked all my stuff and everything looks good. I do have a small issue, the shaft is too big for the clutch to slide on. I'm going to check the specs and get out my hf micrometer and see how much different they are, if it isn't a lot I'm going to get it running and put some emery f cloth on it while it's running. If it is too different I'll return to Amazon and order the right size.

Lots of times new stuff doesn't go together like it should. I'm talking about sprockets, and clutches not going onto the correct size axle or shaft. You have the right idea about getting out the emory cloth. For the outside of the shaft, but as well as the inside diameter of whatever you are trying to install. Chalk it up to fine Chinese machine work. Some oil or light grease can also help.

Don't get me started on how many worthless new sprockets I've gone through because they were out of round, drilled for mount off center, and even worse BOTH.

It's like they don't do maintenance on the equipment and they use it til the run out is so bad it's breaking bits

So far I managed to do some mock up, I got the seat to slide properly. I took the tube from the wheelbarrow wheel and cleaned it and put together the new wheel/tire/hub. I managed to disassemble the other wheel tire hub and it wasn't easy, I cleaned the tube and now I have to remove all of the rust and paint the wheel. I'm going to work on that today. My gas can finally arrived so I'm going to attempt to start break in on the new motor. I also installed the lights, but haven't wired them up yet. Will try to post pictures and update again soon.

Kind of part of what we should expect when we order things from Amazon or Ali Express at the price point. I can live with doing a little extra work for the significant difference in price.
