Has anyone here tried this or at least seen it?

Well that's another matter entirely, but the multiple kill switches are good for the random bystander who wants a ride when no one is looking. Not sure of your neighborhood makeup, population density, etc., but a kid with his own go kart is probably going to cause a stir among his peers and become the "cool kid" on the block.

When Beaver goes inside to take a whizz, an Eddie Haskell is not too far away.
Motorcycle alarm module would make that little snot flood is wranglers!

Yeah I'm that smart@ss. Now that my toys are able to be kept more secure it's nolonger installed. Being originally built in NY and very often parked at a gas station or otherwise left unsupervised in public... it was worth the effort to wire up and hide along with a main battery cut off switch and hidden kill switch.

I contemplated insulating the coil from the block so that a remote ground to the coil frame would be required and could be toggled as well

Turns out I had what I need, no welding needed. Works perfect but could use a little more pedal travel. I'm going to see if I can adjust the spring mechanism and possibly put a longer spring on it.

This thread is super quiet. I have a question: I noticed somewhere on the Internet people using mounting plate adapters. Does anyone here have experience or an opinion on them. I did some test fitting and the original engine mount is very obviously different and doesn't line up, I'm going to modify if necessary but something that bolts on easily might be worth a few dollars to save myself some time.

Only adapters I know are for minibikes... the tilt the engine so the backplate clears the lower chassis with the engine slid over to the right for proper sprocket alignment.

Not sure if that's what you're referring too or not. I suppose in some situations it could buy you some chain room and alignment resolution on a kart

Ok I'm going to have to replace my chain. It's 1/2 inch between the teeth on the sprocket, besides length what else do I need to know to make sure I get the correct chain?

It's either 40 or 41 pitch chain (both are 1/2in pitch). Can you measure (estimate) the roller width? 41 is 1/4in., 40 is slightly larger.

I measured between the inside links with digital calipers.
I'd clean and calibrate ZERO on the caliper, the only 1/2 inch pitch that narrow is bicycle chains.

inner plate inch widths include 1/8 , 3/32, 5/32, 7/32, 9/32, and 13/64

I would guess it was the rust on the chain, not my calipers. That chart is actually very helpful, the only measurement I took besides the pitch was b1. I'll use the chart and take more measurements based on that diagram. I'll get back to you guys as soon as I have more info. Currently the weather is turning nasty so I'm not sure how quick I'll be able to measure without getting very wet.

Looking at my measurements, it looks like I need a 415, can anyone tell me the difference between a 415 and 415h?
