Lookin good! Just make sure your pipe isnt any larger than your exhaust port. Im going to make a custom vertical exhaust stack and tractor style flapper for my go kart to compare it to the AGK one.

I can weld!!!! here are some pics.

i also scrapped the idea of a deoderent can as an exhaust lol, as the one i had broke, and seemed very flimsy.

i only need to paint now!!!

i also have a pic of what i might have as an exhaust.

Thats not horrible, you'll get it eventually, just go slow and move it in a zig zag or over lapping circle pattern.

its anoying because often the stick sticks, and you need to get back to the flux before it will weld properly again.

it does sound a lot easier. do you have any idea why the stick suddenly sticks, and then if you try a new stick it doesnt? low quality sticks or my welding tequnique?

ok, i think it might be something to do with the material. would it make any difference if the metal is oily, because it is

i do that, but then it burns holes. i think i will have to up them and then put them back down to get rid of the metal at the end of the rod, as it usually only does it when some flux has fallen off.

Im sorry to say this but those welds are terrible and are going to brake off. Grind it back and try again, having and oily surface may make it like that so grind it all back so u got some shiny metal and re weld. If the weld sucks then grind it back again and keep welding it until its perfect.

If the rod sticks, and you brake off the flux at the end, you need to burn it back to the flux before it will work properly again.

What you do is get some scrap plate, connect it to the earth clamp, and drag the rod along it at about 45 degrees really fast. Continue to do this until it is back to the flux.

And yeah, those welds are pretty bad. Don't trust them for anything. Do more practice before welding kart pieces together.
