Just to help me keep track of how many bassist vs guitarist we've had reporting in here so far... I was just kinda wondering if you curently spend more time playing the bass or guitar?

I think of that Mustard Plug band every time I have to give an extra hard squeeze on an old bottle of mustard and that little brown scab comes flyin out on my sandwich.

(do you eat your mustard plugs? For some reason I usually scrape-em off and flip'm in the trash :biggrin5:

I think its an awsome band name. I'm picturing they were sitting around tryin to figure out a band name and one of them was over making a sandwich and he suddenly yelled out: Dude I got it... MUSTARD PLUG !!!

Drummer here. Got my first go-kart and set of drums when I was 11. I still have both.

I had a garage band for a while. Last time I played was a guest appearence with alt-country legend and Slobberbone frontman Brent Best, opening for Two Cow Garage. Check out this go-kart related intro:

Welcome Orange Krate, (we need some drummers around here) Cool video, I'd heard of Slobberbone before but never had a chance to see-em. Is Mach None Brent Best's go kart? Got any pics?

Mach None is the unnofficial name(see 1st vid). I think it's a vintage racer that's been hacked to include a pretty bad a$$ed 5 horse Briggs flatty. I've done a lot of work to it. That officially makes me the George Barris of go-karts!

Yeah I like-em! (thanks for the comparison ) I checked out a few more Slobberbone videos and found out my frontman's been into them for quite awhile.

hey guys! bought a new backup guitar today! its a Ibanez RG321 and man for a 350 dollar guitar it sure plays nice! cant believe it was listed at 480 :S lol great guitar tho im super happy and it plays beautifully out of my ibanez half stack and my line 6 spider III 75W

Rhythm guitar, some lead work. I don't play much anymore, ever since family started taking up my free time. I was in a local band for a few years, calling ourselves "The Money Shot", and no, I'm NOT going to explain that! (LOL)

I had a Parshall stack, part Peavey, part Marshall. I had an all-tube, 3-channel Peavey Rockmaster rackmount preamp, going into a 200w bridgeable all-tube Marshall 9200 Dual Monoblock rackmount power amp.

I had a few guitars at our peak.

* Yamaha AEX-500 Electric-Accoustic hollowbody
* Yamaha RGX Custom electric
* Charvel electric (I forget the model#)
* Ibanez S-540 electric
* Parker Fly electric (for a few months $$$)

I played lick-laden rythm with a few lead breaks and solos, and sang backing vocals. I wrote about a third of our music and most of our lyrics. The rest of the band called me "Human Metronome" because I could loop a rythm flawlessly for HOURS in perfect time while the rest of the guys worked out thier parts.

Parshall stack, that's hilarious. Sounds like you had some cool gear man, think you'll ever get back into playin in a band again?

Since posting here last, my old bands have all pretty much fizzled out. I joined a new female fronted cover band called Doghouse Roses a few months back, besides rehearsals we've just played one gig at a big Christmas party so far.

I've also been playing with another blues/rock type project that's just finally landed a talented frontman after enduring a couple months of tedious auditions.

This week I swapped my old 77 fender Twin Reverb for a 1966 Ampeg B-18n bass combo. Its not all that loud but sounds like freakin hot buttered jesus.

I have been playing acoustic guitar for 5 years. I play pretty consistently, so I think I am good solid intermittent.
