Anyone else here play a musical instrement? (or the drums :D)

I ran across a couple guitarist on another thread here today and thought we needed our own musicians thread instead of hijacking freaks subwoofer thread anymore.

I'm prety much a hack, but I've been flailing the bass for serveral little/local bands around here for quite awhile, mostly just little gigs at bars, clubs and parties. We usualy play 1 set of origanal rock-type tunes my guitarist/leed-vocalist writes. Most of our gigs are either free or we just make a few bucks (or a bar tab) off the door. I play in bands cause its a lot of fun and I dont realy have any aspirations of hitting it big or anything.

PsychoSquareDance:

One of my other side projects:

I usualy play this tube powered SVT-2, Bergantino NV610 cab and Fender P-deluxe.

If ya play any kind of musical instrement at all, post what kinda gear you use or any other kind of related info you want. I'd be interested to see how many of our DIY karters are also into making the music happen.

played baritone in middle school, started playing guitar a few years back, and last year or so got a violin. music isn't too high on my priorities, if you know what i mean. strap a good boombox on the kart and go!!! when i first started listening to the ford, i thought a clock that was running kind of fast, then i thought, naw, a shod horse clippity clopping on gravel. what was that thing idling at .... like 120rpms?

Wow, looks like we already got quite a few musicians popping up here.

Thanks Baja, I've seen Ibanez bass amps/cabs before but didnt even realise they'd made guitar amps/cabs too. Your 4x12 looks really cool man!

Here's some links to a few of my (past and curent) band projects:

I've played in this first band since 2002, we're kind of a part time thing now but we still get together and gig every month or 2:

The rest of these were mostly short term side projects I played in that wrote and played all original music. These bands have now prety much all fizzled out:

(I didnt write any of these songs and many of the tunes weren't necessarily my favorite musical styles. I just played bass and supported whatever the bands had going at the time)

Here's myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/meanderville

Before I got into karts and the DIY forum I used to be pretty active on the TalkBass forums, here's a link to my profile page/gear-list over there: http://www.talkbass.com/forum/member.php?u=66065

freakboy, do you ever get tired of hearing/singing the same old song? 'oh, god! oh god!' it would annoy me after awhile
