WD-40 and a rag, wipe down all the bare metal. When you go to paint you'll have to use thinner or some solvent to remove the WD-40, but it will keep the rust down in the meantime.
I mean i found a 5/16 rod just like the pic at the hardware store and dident now if it would work i mean it is as atrong as my original tie rods... just dident now Thx
that allthread is pretty soft. I`d either thread two ends of a steel rod or find a piece of tubing , cut the heads off two bolts, and weld the threads in the ends of the tube
so i have a problem... i have finished the go kart. all i need is the chain clutch and sprocket. here is my problem i have 12 inch diameter tires in the back and the ones up front are total crap. i dont now what to do because i now i need like a 60 tooth sprocket andi dont think that the sprocket would be able to fit cause i have such small tires. so basicly i need a new set of 4 bigger tires i have spent alot on this go kart and dident want to spen much.. but 4 new tires would be like 200. so if you guys have any suggestions on what i could do that would be great thx.
i finished yesterday but cant drive yet cause when the moter speeds up the slack on the bottom side of the chain causes it to grind on the sprocket and miss a link and jolt... so i bought a chain tesioner
