yes, exactly, i just sprayed the primer, then another coat of primer, then a coat of paint, then another coat of paint, each right after the one before.

if your not already, test the paint on scrap metal before the frame.

i would use either paint stripper, or a wire wheel on the grinder, or a flap disk on the grinder.

you get out on Friday! lucky, i still got a few weeks to go...

i gave it a day or two, then was very careful while bolting on a few parts, it was a while before i really tested it. the paint isn't amazing, running over a small tree, or dropping a screw driver on it will scratch the paint (never seems to go through the primer), but its reasonably tough. if it ever scratches i just paint over it, :D

alright well i will give it a few days and see if it holds up better than maby try a gloss coat to see if that helps.

so i mean could u scratch it off with your fingernail or is it like dropping a screwdriver chip the paint

finger nail, no. i will mention i used a different type of paint than you, still rustoleum though. i think it was "hammered finish black", and a white bottle of "clean metal primer".

what grit flap wheel are you using, don't make it super smooth, i found 60 grit worked good. self-etching primer is a type of paint, available from many brands.

try even thinner coats with more time to dry after you finish all the painting. try to find somewhere that isn't so humid.

i tried sanding down the metal to were not all the paint was off so it was a little rough and it still wouldent stick...... alright well i will let it dry longer see if i can chip it off, but right now there is like no humidity
