You want a inside flange that is Less than 1 1/2" taller then the surface that rides on the rail. I think making you own will prove to be the best solution. Use a solid Caster wheel with the rubber cushion and have some round plates on the inside for the flange or have another Caster mounted vertical to keep it all on the rail.

I'm having some 12in disc being cut for my track flange.

railrider.Net take your heart meds before reviewing the prices.. Then go to H.F. and get 4 wheelbarrow tires. I'm good with 10" tires. At 15 mph they will hold up. I've fallen out of a lounge chair and got hurt.. Now just how fast does that lounge chair need to go on unmaintained tracks is your decision... I'm good with 15mph.

I thought of using old Ford drums that have a flange on them but I want a quitter ride then metal to metal.. But you could get it covered with rhino liner or an old bike tire tread.

No trans. A 12 T centrifugal clutch to a 72 T sprocket. Powered by predator 212

No build updates yet, I have to pick up the guide disk and hub from the shop.. Then get my sprocket, clutch, chain, engine mount plate.

Any one thinking of building a kart the distance between the rails is 4' 8-1/2" .i set mine at 4'8" for a little wiggle room. These are unmaintaind tracks. Test ride them slowly up track . mark the bad spots.. And then you can safely haul ballz down track.

The OP says he is Confident in his HF Wheels for this type of venture.

Point being anything may work. I have heard stories of people just using small care tires, Mostly deflated. ???

My thought would be a nice set of 15x6x6s. ???

I've seen videos of a guy that used skate board wheels.

Installing the guide disk.

Extended hub, guide disk welded, welded and primed. Extended hub waiting for the drive sprocket.

Thanks chancer, being a go-kart forum, I was thinking f.r was front right... That was kind of random to throw out in this forum. I thought I was going to get educated on some karting lingo. :backtotopic:

Did you have those Guide disks special made or is there a local source.

They almost look like a Giant go kart disk brake.LOL
