Main frame yes.So I unnastan what i'm looking at, (I'm purdy dense) the rectangle tubing in pic #1 with all the good stuff on it, is the main frame? No suspension?
That's my guess. 1.5 x 2 inch tubing?
You have a way of slotting the mounting points for the engine/jackshaft/axle? Just wondering about adjustments.
I think I read somewhere the tubing is .120 wall? This is a mini bike? Or an outrigger for a dual engine mega ton transport?
The tubing certainly up to the task if the former be the case. I like the heavy duty look that expresses.
Nice work! Just beware slippage at mounting points that are subject to our friend Tork! Never underestimate that!
No suspension on this beast.
1-1/2” x 2-1/2” x 1/8” rectangular tubes.
The pillow blocks have slotted holes which allows me to adjust the jackshaft and the axle shaft. I think each slot is 19mm. A 1/2” bolt leaves only around 1/3” of adjustment per shaft.
I’ll have to use a slotted engine mounting plate but should be able to adjust both the TC belt and the chain tension.
The outside of the main frame rails are about 15.75”apart leaving 12.75” in between the inside of the rails.
The wide bottom allows me to center the weight of the engine, drop the engine a bit lower, and allows space to mount the brake caliper in a tucked away location tween the inside of the rail and the tire.
I’m thinking somewhere around a 48” wheelbase.
Still not sure what I want to do for the rest of the frame.
