I'll TIG all those thingys together for ya if ya pay shipping and toss in a couple bux for supplies.
Tack it where ya want it. My welds are "solid but ugly".
I never had much luck with flux core welding. Perhaps you do better than I and I offer only for safety reasons, if for any reason you might doubt your equipment and or skills, not to insinuate you should, but only to see your comfort level with the task at hand.
This is not a gaurantee of different or better results, but rather a test of the emergency broadcast network, your mileage may vary and interest rates are subject to change. so lemme know.

Thank you so much.

I will probably take you up on this offer once I figure out the engineering and zero in on a few measurements.

What I have going on in this photo is the center tube with one sleeve on and one sleeve removed. The sleeve (opposite the cutting end) is 0.25” thick. I have inserted a 1/4” hex wrench below and behind the tube end to approximate the 1/4” sleeve.IMG_6750.jpegIMG_6751.jpegIMG_6752.jpeg

I’m not sure if this measurement is exactly how long I want the center tube. I think I want the bottom of the bearing pockets spaced “whatever this measurement is” plus a mm or so?IMG_6753.jpegIMG_6754.jpeg

This measurement here is 110mm and I’m not sure why I feel like I need these washers to make the spacing correct?

I still am not taking into account any dust seal on the bottom. A felt ring will have to do.

Took my first 4 of 16 hours for my concealed carry classes today. Basically 4 hours of being told Illinois will put you in jail if you are involved in a self defense “incident” and that the best advice is to say nothing about your actions. And then they tried to sell us some legal insurance, which I immediately assume was a scam.

I have found over the years that calipers are more accurate if they are "on" so that the display has numbers in it (yellow)
Use the "on" button for better results. (red)
Follow me for more smartass tips and tricks.

You have a mile of threads on that center tube, so don't sweat every thou.

I’m really not even sure about the Illinois “Castle Law” (or lack of it). I think if somebody is breaking down my door, I need to retreat out the back door as first option instead of mag dumping as soon as my door gives and the intruder steps inside. I guess the 13+1 round warning shot isn’t a real thing.
