@r97 thats what i think im going to do, so i can get a keyway for a disk brake too, how do those work? i mean installing a disk brake, i know the caliper needs to be mounted, but does there need to be a special keyway too?

OH AND BAD NEWS.

the pit bike died today, total motor seperation. i got a vid coming in about an hour.

stupid chines motor? axle with key way, key, hub (either bolts to rotor, or is welded), rotor, brake pads, caliper, hydraulic lines(no bubbles! bled properly!) or cable/rod (depending on types of brakes), master cylinder (hydro only), brake rod or cable, foot pedal.

p.s. i can take pics of mine if you want

yeah please, lol, brain hurts from homework :p

i think im going to rack up cash and from christmas and my birthday to get hydraulic. and the best of the best on some other parts... i might need new tires (kinda a gash in the old ones) so... work in progress. at least the frame is there.

and yup chinese motor... it has about 4 hours run since last rebuild.

so this is whats going on:

43cc out of pit bike. 6hp tecumseh in.

6hp tecumseh out of kart and 8hp briggs in:D

yeah so true.

the kart is sorta designed for kids so i need to higher the steering colum so my legs fit the pedals, but the pedals are missing, lol.

well good news a guy at my welding class said he might be able to get the broken tap out of my sleeping 8hp briggs/ carcass

so the vid is uploading 1 sec

I believe you should change your little info bit under your name from "red line for a good time" to "red line til the motor splits".
