It's true i don't have a welding machine So i rely on my neighbor. That being said it will be a bit before i get it welded. But a hacksaw does some good cutting if you have the endurance for it.
The square tubes are just hanging on to the round tubes for now with the rear-end moved back along with it. I'm pretty sure i may shorten the length a bit. Not having a welding machine allows for more time to think Which is a good thing.

I'm throwing my vote on the table that this thread oughta be closed until ACTUAL progress is being made. (It might be forever) So far it's been bickering, **** talk, rightfully going on about how this thread ain't doing anything but causing drama and pretty much wasting time...

I agree with Bighead. This thread will not be closed. No rules have been broken, and any noob reading it will see by our comments that a lot of "advice" here should not be taken. I still have a thread where I am still building my trike. Should it be closed because I am doing nothing at the moment? No.
I know you all want to get IBTL, but it is not going to happen yet

And I'm at fault here too... but if people didn't feed on misery so much and just STOP replying every time we see something that's completely ill-advised (and keep in mind, we've done our due diligence in properly warning this one, anyone with a brain that's read this whole silly thing should be able to figure it out. If not, that's their fate)... I'm sure this post will find its rightful spot.

I guess this is as good a place as any to express my opinion on the matter. I have many build/disscussion threads on many different sights on varying subjects. I'm not into top poster, post counts,likes,thanks,thanked,thumps up bla, bla, bla, crap. I have posted some "good job" type posts here and there when warranted, but these meaningless two three word posts have little to no usefulness to the DYIGOKART forum from an educational point of view. The spelling and Grammer POLICE ...I see this behavior on almost every forum I've joined and it annoys the H E double hockey sticks out of me. This thread would have fizzled out along time ago with out the help of this type of this behavior. So now it becomes an attention grabbing view accumulating thread that overpowers the post whoring Guys threads and steels the spot light from them and it should be IBTL and someones gonna get bad advice and so on. but really its keeping everyone entertained and stays on top and should be treated as such. If FreeRunner does in fact get this thing going and builds a super duper wooden/steel turbo charged pile "O" crap/ awesome Kart then that is his prerogative.
Now that's just my 2 cents. flame away boys.

Tried the torque converter today with 10 tooth driver and 48 sprocket .. this thing will shred tires with 0 problem which may be a problem for me cause it spins for 2 seconds before it even starts to move all while laying rubber. i dont know if that is normal. it's on hole #1 by the way.
Guess i'll be getting a 12 tooth driver in the future.
keep in mind, this is a single drive wheel kart for now. i do have 2 wheel drive planned for the future if someone would hire me.
