From Stock, to Modder... to Tuner. Then Racer.

Started out with the frame and some nice-looking tires that are getting replaced. oversized inner tubes by 2 inches for extra "ride" cushion and less chance of leakage from the inner tubes due to stretching. (at least thats my excuse for buying wrong sized tubes)

New two piece rear rims coming soon. One at a time.

The beginning. (after i bought front tires and the engine and kart seperate)

How the Kart originally came \/

Leakage of what? Do tell more... please.
Air. Leakage of air.But who knows? its just a theory right now due to the inner tubes not being stretched. But i'm still learning.

The bead wouldnt seat correctly (on the tubeless tire) and im afraid to do the fire method to seat it due to the risk of exploding the tire ,shrapnel ,and loud bang.

If you have never seen a tubeless tire mounted with fire its like watching a marshmallow grow inside the microwave for 10 seconds But in a fraction of 1.

You could also use a tool i know as a Come-Along ,there's probably another word for it.. Wrap it around the tire, squeeze it tight, and air it up gradually once enough pressure is there.

oh and FYI's .. i don't think these 18 inch inner tubes i got will fit in a 16.8 inch tire. At least not easily. it was eaither buy that or 10inchers.

Man up and use the fire method! Are you really scared of the noise? and yes we have all seen it and probably most of us have done it.

I haven't used the starter fluid...but have used the ratchet straps...(took two of them once to get the job done)....but it works....

Soapy water on the bead helps too....A clean (rust free) rim is essential....

If you don't have a good compressor....(and don't remove the valve stem core) you might as well pee in your britches...it'll give you a warm feeling...but not really very good results....

You could just take it to ANY PLACE. that mounts tires. I'll bet they'll seat it for free.

i used wd40. spray on the edges, stood on the rim, and *pssssssssssssSHT* aired up like a champ.

i was also told soapyy water does the trick as well.

~ Thread Bump ~ This project isn't dead yet.

Also going with these.
Perfect.

Removed Governor and managed to keep The Wheel in one piece.

Installed the muddin' tire

My engine made chocolate milk ( used oil. started 5 times, rode it twice )

Of course i had to buy a quality rod. i like how it is designed with oil holes inside it.

Those look just like the tires you have right now. But hey, spend your money, you can't take it with you.

You should see the tread depth. It is like "whoa :surrender:" Mud tires for real. and i just found me two PERFECT mud spots on the property just for this kinda tire.

What is the tooth count on that axle sprocket?

the originalone i think its a 48 tooth. But im not using it.

TORQUE LINE with a 1:6 ratio. it goes further than this:

i highly believe a 1:48 would be necessary for me. This ratio just loves to throw dirt 20feet in the air.

Like whoa! That's some serious tread depth right there. Put some jackshafts behind them monsters and you'll be plowing the fields for reals.

Kart with under glow .

So what is your plan for that?
if you mean the tire? i am going to learn some of the physics and science of mud tires.
as for everything else... i could ramble all day. ..and it will be multi-purpose. a different ratio for each scenario. medium-high speed, off road, couple inches of mud handling ability. the drifting will be fun too.

Eye Candy :

Has just one waterproof strip on one side. imagine being the first one in an un-touched clear-watered mud pit as the water glows with fluorescence.especially at night. (color 1 of 3(red,green,blue)

lose those HF wheels!
throw them as far away as you can.. do not look back, don't even think about it.

Buy proper Kartwheels!! (elevenoneone)

thank me later ;)
