I bet my HOUSE against your KART that you will NOT have an explosion every cycle.

And since you have no idea why I can do this, you disqualified yourself yet again.

blah, every 2 to 4 revolutions. whatever the ignition cycle is on this thing. You owe me a house.

suck, squeeze, bang, blow. Didn't you have 9th grade auto shop? Hence the term 4 cycle engine...

That was the first thing that caught my eye when Poboy question the authenticity of the photo... but then again... he is running the engine with an open exhaust port - no muffler, nor exhaust pipe. Seems right up FreeRunner's mentality!

My understanding is it could lead to a burnt/warp valve, or lean out the running mixtures, not sure if those are a real issues on small engines, just what I've read what not to do (& I'm not dumb enough to try it)... I'd be more concern about debris from this "Trench Digger" entering the port and fouling up the valve/piston.

:wai: This thread is like a train wreck in slow motion. Chugga-chugga-whoo-whoo!! Train isa coming... :wai:
LOL :D Trench digging trainwreck.

Surprisingly, at least to me, is i'm running rich without any fuel upgrades.

You people do kinda worry me about the engine detonating. makes me want to put a shield between me and the engine. But i really think if i start rich and work leaner i will be fine. But who knows, after all it is a cast block.

i've only heard that once from an ASE friend of mine and i'm glad you said it again. SSBB.

No sukah, YOU OWE ME a kart!

Lucky for you, I do not insist on shipping it over..
but here's what you will do for me:

Go out with nice sharp icepick...
get your predators tank, fill it up and pierce it at least ten times in the lower half. remove the cap.

lay all lightcable douchebag accessories and pseudo gauges next to the now gasoline vomiting tank and light it up!

ProTipp: do it outside! In the end, you owe me a kart, not a house.

Deliver or leave!

wow you guys are good. I thought my drawings were good enough to fool anyone. oh well, guess i'll go take my drawn-on-paper gokart and start an art profession and become a millionaire.
anyways i'm going to go play with this fuel pump and see what it's all about.

Ha!
Took a while but i got my fuel pump in the other day and got the racing plug today..
PUMP:

i'll show it installed another time.

The pump works great. Havent installed the plug yet.

my money resource is out for now. i just need a cut off saw and a welder and a sprocket hub for torque converter reasons. 18 pound springs will be here this week hopefully.
OH, i did the 4.8:1 ratio last night and the wheel still spins out and gets to speed BUT it gets hot really quick. It's good for 2 acceleration runs.

Also forgot to close the petcock and when i went to check the oil, lol, an oil and gas mix started to pour out like water. Got more than 1 whole water-bottle full of it. Just checked and it was almost 1 and a half bottles full.

Out of cash? Too bad. Well, talk is cheap, so I have some questions:
You referred to something getting "hot really quick". What would that be?
The crankcase of this engine is full of an oil/gas mix that overflowed a pint or more? Really?

almost 1.5 liters of mix came out, yes.
and it was the clutch. The clutch got hot. i listened(yes i said i listened) to the words along the lines of "burning the clutch" so i trialed 2 short runs. After the 1st run with a quick clutch-touch and it was really warm.
After the 2nd run it was dab-of-spit-off-the-finger almost-sizzling hot. and that was on a flat surface.
No i didnt allow my finger to touch the clutch the second time.

i really need this TorqueVerter on.
P.S. The clutch still works and didn't change color. i guess i didnt let it get hot enough to burn.

Next time it gets that hot, spray the whole thing with a hose before it catches fire... please.

would gasoline work better?

If Kelly Wood of DIYGK said to do it, i guess the next 100 people that read this should do it too! Thank you Kelly Wood of DIYGK for your expert advice

i shall save this moment for other people to see. suggested to me from a pro and experienced person, it must work. and the word "please" was used, so it must mean to spray water on a hot engine to protect it and me from blowing up.
