When I blueprint engines I use my piston ring filer but it cuts the end of the rings flat, you would have to file half rounds in the rings also in order for the rings to fit to the orientation pins that are in the piston ring grooves,it can be done but it must be precise,on your size bore I would set the end gaps at .012 - .015 and you need a set of feeler gauges in order to measure the end gaps of the piston rings,so you would need a small flat file and a round file that is the same diameter as the orientation pins in order to do this correctly.

Before you go too far have you checked that you have not spread the lower sections of your cylinder out? I bet you more than likely have, the ends of those oversized piston rings would have butted together and I am sure that you had to force the cylinders on and the reason that the cylinders would not go on any farther than you had them is because the cylinders could not expand at that point anymore because of the surrounding aluminium cylinder material.

He said it is the right size not over sized he said this happens all the time and I should just file it down and I got the piston free and the cylinder looks fine doesn't look like it spreaded it at all

Ok I filed it down a little bit it still had the Grove for the pin in the piston and I test fit it in the cylinder and it fit in perfectly I used a Old piston ring as reference and it fits perfectly so I put it on the piston and put the cylinder on no it fit perfectly I put it back together and rotated it to see if it would rotate easyly and it did, put the spark plugs in to see if it had compression and it had great compression can't wait to get it Running

Hey,at least you are doing something that you enjoy and you have the drive to keep moving forward with your build, part of the three "D''s as I call them,Drive,Determination and Devotion, if you follow these steps with almost anything that you do one can achieve results!
