Thank you for the compliment! This engine moves out pretty good nothing like my modified 277 Rotax but decent. This kart will be about 30 to 40 lbs lighter than my kart and a little bit different. I will use a 80 tooth rear sprocket on this kart giving it a gear ratio of 6.66 to 1. I am anxious to see your kart being built so please keep us all posted!Really really nice fab and machine skills DD!
Watched a few of your vids and...WOW, that thing flies!
It would be kind of hard to fish those aluminum bushings back in place with a magnet so this was my answer to that problem.![]()

I should have made that clear,sorry.Ahhhhh.....just caught this! !!...
NO!!!!! It either needs to be a couple of thousands smaller....(to press on).....or a couple bigger....(to slide on).....
No such thing as EXACTLY. the same.....right?
I am gearing this kart down for lower top speed and better acceleration. This gearing will give me mid 50's but my wife will never ring it out that far. It will also depend on which carburetor I will use as to what the upper RPM level will be. I have tested this engine a lot and I know what tuning to use to achieve the RPM level I want. What top speed are you going for?,because usually If Someone was going for a higher top speed you would size down the teeth on the sproket on the axle and increase the number of teeth or the clutch, cvt,or ,torque converter
Sorry man, with all due respect you are thinking backwards. No go higher. if 6: to 1 is standard go 7:1 for top speed. 4:1 will have tire spin from stop but low top speed.
These are example numbers.

You are correct. I was thinking sdrawkcab, I knew the answer but got confusedNope no respect deserved here. You are correct. I was thinking sdrawkcab, I knew the answer but got confused

Welcome to the club! I am confused all the time!So 4 to 1 is good or bad? For decent amount of acceleration and high top speed?

on a weekly basis.
......Dude!!!!! This is like pulling into a McDonald's drive thru.....and asking for a Jumbo Jack......
