The Sachs KM24 engine that I am using has 23 hp in its stock form.I have done a little port clean up on this engine and I have used a 30mm Mikuni on it and also a 32mm Mikuni carburetor. This engine turns around 8600 rpm.

Here I am finishing the inner frame bushings,I chamfer the edges of the bushings to fit the radius of the inside of the tubing. Here one can see the orientation of the tubing seam in relation to the bushing placement.

Thanks guys! you are both doing a great job! just keep going! shiny parts are like fishing lures,just because they are shiny does not mean that they will work!

I cut my frame rails at 5 degrees on each side in turn making the frame a 10 degree taper.
Here one can see the frame insert bushings inside the frame rails and in the holes for the pillow block bearings. I take a center punch and peen the frame rails in order to temporary retain the bushings in their locations,the angle iron supports will be welded to the frame later on.

Here is the basic main frame shape and pillow block locations.I have angle cut the front nose cross member and I will box it in. The frame is sitting on an uneven surface hence this slight misalignment of the nose tubing and the frame rail.The frame will be welded on a flat surface. Here is the angle iron bearing supports again just showing the location to where they go and they will be welded to the frame and drilled later on.

This Rotary Combustion engine that I am using has four engine mounting lugs and I will use the rest of the frame bushings that I made as engine mounts inside the frame here,I will slot the tubing that the engine will mount on and the engine mounting bolts will come up through the frame tubing and go through the bushings and thread into the mounting lugs on the engine and this is how I will adjust the chain,the bushings will slide along inside the frame in this location. This saves more weight by eliminating a slotted engine plate.

A little bit off the topic here but this site will not let me post the name of the inventor of the Rotary Combustion engine because every time I try to post his name it is recognized as a bad word and is edited. I have made more progress and I will post some pictures later. For those of you who may not be familiar with Rotary Combustion engines a little fact about them is they are a four cycle engine that has a power stroke every 360 degrees and all of the engine cycles are 270 degrees in duration and the rotor turns one third of the eccentric shaft which is the output shaft.
All three sides of the rotor are constantly going through the engines cycles at the same time.I have explained this in the past in some earlier posts but I know that there are some new people here on this site and it may be to some interest to them.

Here on can see with the frame rail angle of five degrees on one side.Here is the engine mount with the aluminium bushings installed in the slotted mount rails. I will peen the mount rails in certain locations so that the bushings do not travel out of the slotted locations because they will not be accessible after the mount rails are welded to the cross members of the frame.

Here is some photos of the engine mount bolts going through the underside of the engine mount tubing and one can see the center punch dimples in the tubing to retain the aluminum bushings that are inside the tubing as so they stay in their locations.

OK.....Not quite following the mechanics or thinking behind the dimples.....exactly what are those supposed to do....and why?

EDIT: Nevermind! !!! I'm an idiot.....and sometimes it takes a minute or two for things to sink in.....the dimples keep the "anti-crush" bushings from wandering off past the edges of the slots....to be lost forever....somewhere that's not Kansas anymore.....

You know....we are a lot alike.....but very different.....

I can tell....that (like me)....you spend a lot of time thinking and planning before you do something....

You might go over something as many as 10 times in your head before you do it once.....(10×1=10!).....Perfect score! !!!

I.......however .....even outdo you on the thinking end....I frequently go over design problems and solutions 20 times in head....then do nothing....(20×0=0)!!!!!!!! You win!

It would be kind of hard to fish those aluminum bushings back in place with a magnet so this was my answer to that problem.
