Looking at the timing advance Woodruff keys for these engines and wondering how much I can advance the timing and be reliable on 91octane? Elevation around 4500-6000ft is where i will be running them. *Noise level is a concern so want to keep exhaust and intake oem.

I just had a similar issue with my chinese 48v/1800w brushless motor. Odd though that if you spin it backward it would spin forward again for about 5 seconds before dying.. Turn it off and on, spin the motor backward by hand and it will spin forward again for a few seconds. Shes been constantly...

Having built a ton of gas powered 2 and 4 stroke; And a bunch of EV ohv's I would say electric is much more simple and easier to tune. But not worth the cost compared to gas. Only reason to go EV is for quiet so you can ride places you cant take gas powered toys.

You have enough room why not go with a couple 22ah SLA batteries? But yes you can also run more of the current batteries.

If you only want 5-30 minutes and a huge amount of power get the imperial 3.6hp 36v motor used on ebay or something similar and the 500a kelly. You can get these motors for 100$ and less shipped. Save the rest of the money for lithium batteries.

Why not run the 12ah in parallel and series? Start with 24aH and move up to 36aH if needed.

Careful hooking that up directly to the batteries. Might be too many amps for it. There is a cable that comes off the controller called "indicator" that is a voltage output and will come on when you turn the power switch on.

If you are using the little 2k Chinese brushless motor you can get a 10T sprocket for it vs the 13T that comes on them for a little more torque.
