Hand Controls, why am I just thinking about this???

I've been brain storming how to improve the pedal placement on my Manco Dingo. I've already pushed the pedals out a few inches and now my problem is getting my heels into stable positions while being able to still get to the gas and brake easily. I need my heels to keep me in the seat. Then I remembered that there are a lot electric and gas karts that have hand controls.

I already have hydraulic brakes on my Dingo so my hand should be able to squeeze hard enough to max out the brakes.

Now I need to find some hand brakes and wire them up to my kart. I'll start with changing the throttle and if that works good then will try swapping the brake.

We have hand controls on our tiny kart and they work ok. Both are mechanical, which makes it easy to hook them up, but also limits the force you can apply. Converting to hydraulic brakes would help depending on the hookup. The nice thing is it means just about any size person can easily ride the kart.

Go karts where ment to be small and uncomfortable lol my "ken bar" is SUPER small but i use the stock pedals my knees are almost touching my hands while driving but then again yours probably has a cage or something stopping you

My kart looks very similar to yours except it is electric and goes 50mph.

Yeah, I've got custom pedal placement now and it's just hard to get it right. Best to keep my feet always planted with the way this kart handles.
