Its a very basic render, i will draw up much more detailed designs once i get further along. And jackshafts will be used for the chain. Im in Belleville, i dont like giving out my city, especially when its not necessary.

Your floor pan shouldnt weigh almost the same as the frame. With your design is the floor pan holding up the seat? If not the floor pan really doesnt support much weight other than the heels of your feet. Also car seats have a lot of unnecessary weight for go kart applications. Id recommend...

Little update on the kart, new engine came in and its a blast, everything works perfect, was even able to reuse the old clutch! With a total investment of $200 I am more than happy with it

Just took off the pull start again and found what the problem was. The bottom of the metal cover was bent in a good amount, causing the plastic fins to hit it, thus the plasticy starter noise. Now my question is would the damaged fins effect the performance in any way? I do have a warranty but...

Thank you all for your input. I did remove the pull start and everything looks normal, but again im new to small engines so i definitely could be wrong. I just drove it around and it seems to work fine, it does sound like its idling really high though. https://youtu.be/UsMoGPRgP4w
