    Oldminibikes going to paying-members-only?

I am a supporting member on OMB. I have no problems. Go figure. For $25 a year, I think it is worth it to help keep the lights on.

Best way to heat a cabin?

You could use the hot air coming from the cooling shroud and also route the exhaust through a pipe routed near your feet and back outside, behind the cabin. No fans needed. Any muffler shop can bend you a pipe to go near or below your feet.

    Dangerously Sensitive Steering (Thunder Kart)

Can you post a picture of the spindle where the tie rods attach? Moving that pivot point away from the kingpin /bolt will slow the steering down. If there are more than one hole, move the tie rod away from the pivot. If no more holes, extend the arm by welding (preferred) or bolting an extension...

No power in my Hammerhead Twister

low compression generally makes the engine hard to start, but once running, makes some smoke, but does not lose power and die. Look at your spark plug. Check compression AND SPARK immetiately after it dies and report back. Good luck, don't give up. Never give up.

Rockwell 440cc and a kenbar streaker?

Cut a piece of the frame out and weld in a piece of channel iron. Simple, neat and effective.

That chain will slap (or grind) the frame if you don't fix it.

Best way to heat a cabin?

Air cooled engines blow alot of hot air out into the atmosphere. Build or find some kind of damper to divert some heat from the head and cylinder area of the engine. Be sure not to get any exhaust. Liquid cooling is probably preferred, but is heavy and much more complicated. Electric heat is...

Rockwell 440cc and a kenbar streaker?

After years under cars with a torch and a welder, I got tired of going to an eye doctor, so I bought an EYE MAGNET. It is like a pencil with a strong , smooth curved magnet on one end and a loop on nylon fishing line on the other. I could press that magnet to my eyeball right next to an embedded...

Rockwell 440cc and a kenbar streaker?

You want the tensioner on the slack side, not the pulling side. a tensioner on that side will just flatten out and be useless. A solid mounted wheel or sprocket might work if it is solid enough. WTR said the same thing...only in a different way. I would consider notching the frame now instead of...

Holy Cow! Widen the track width, lower the center of gravity or install a 5 point and a helmet! Be careful with this thing, Dr Frankenstein! Seroiusly, Bud, use your Spidey senses and carry on!

    224 motor. Generator 5000 w. Dual fuel.

I wonder what kind of mileage he gets from a GENERATOR. Hmmmm. I assume dual fuel means gas/propane. That would be fun on a kart, but.... I still want to know how and why his valve keepers failed.

    224 motor. Generator 5000 w. Dual fuel.

Maybe, but I thought those were on the old flatheads. I think the 224 has tapered split keepers and a machined retainer.

Rockwell 440cc and a kenbar streaker?

With all that speed and power, I suspect your RR tire will swell enough to scrub on the recoil. That will be a handful for sure!

    224 motor. Generator 5000 w. Dual fuel.

Valve keeper failures usually mean springs flying loose in the valve covers and valves falling into the cylinder. That is a catastrophic failure. We require pictures.
