That rod hanging from the governor arm is the rod that goes to the bell crank on the carb. The funny looking spring goes from the throttle control to the governor arm.

    New Build Mini Monster Kart

Mowers are great for kids to ride. The speed and power are about right, they are reliable and the stamped steel frames are simple to modify and weld things onto.

Torque Converter not opening up when wheels are on the ground.

Check tire pressure? On pavement, you can run them pretty hard. Like use the max pressure on the sidewalls. Offroad, it will ride better with less pressure. Lower pressure will keep the converter from opening up sooner.

I consider 16 gauge frame to be WAY too thin for street use. I use 12 gauge minimum for gokart/minibike use. Most road legal frames are 1/4 inch or thereabouts. Exhaust pipe is 14 gauge. 16 gauge is thinner than quality exhaust pipe. You asked, I answered. That is my opinion. others may disagree.

    Bolt-on/No Weld Live Axle Install?

Good points. ^^^above^^^. Another thing to think about: If you drill holes in that frame and do not reinforce the bearing mounts with extra steel, the axle will work loose and require a good bit of welding to repair it. Save your money. DO NOT BUTCHER THAT FRAME. RIDE IT, SAVE SOME MONEY AND BUY...

For fine grinding inside the receiver, toothpaste is too fine, valve compound works fast, but is pretty agressive. I have used Brasso metal polish liquid for many years. Just pour it in, operate the action/dry fire. Obviously, clean well after you are happy with the results.

For anyone building a budget custom Ruger 10/22, you should check out S&P Outfitters. They buy new rifles from Ruger, strip them and build custom rifles for "clients". They sell the new takeoff parts at reasonable prices. My 12 year old son and I bought two recievers from them, he got a youth...

My spidey senses are tingling while looking at the thin-wall square tubing near the upper control arm mounts and around the driver's seat. Not for street use in the US, correct?
