    Drag racing anyone?

I’m in Arkansas it I’d be down. Kind of a worthless response, but it gives this thread a bump.

    Pred 212 Governor post removed

I usually knock that post out when I remove the governor, I pull all the crap off of it and knock it back in. It’s much easier than fiddling with the clip. If it don’t fit nice and snug, tap some threads and use a bolt to plug the hole.

    2020 Stay-cation projects

I bought an 05 Silverado 1500HD. So far I’ve installed new wheels and tires, cleaned the interior, reupholstered the driver front seat bottom, and am currently waiting on parts to finish the transmission rebuild. The next step will be to go through the front end and have it aligned, then paint...

    Corona Beer Virus

I’ve been passing the time by rebuilding a truck I bought. It was a bank repo and needed a lot of work, so it’s giving me something to do. I’m still going to work everyday for now, no shutdown orders in Arkansas yet.

    Disposable carburetors?

I think those have the bolts that the head snaps off when they get to torque like some ignition switches do. Your only real option is to cut a slot in it for a screwdriver and replace the bolts, or just replace the whole carb. They do that to keep people from messing with the insides of them.

    Predator 212cc Hemi Upgrade ?

I’m going to agree with this, you can get as wild as your budget will allow. I’ve spent a lot of money on a couple of predators, and they are bad fast, but it took a LOT of money to get them to where they are.

    Corona Beer Virus

I’ve exercised both generators and filled them up with the 15 gallons of fuel they’ll hold, I have 30 gallons of fuel in jugs, plenty of pellets for the grill, both freezers are full, 15 gallons of fuel for my two outlaw karts, and I’m staying away from everyone. I don’t think that it’ll come...

Need some get up and go.

This is a 10 tooth #35 Noram arena. I had to cut the crank down to get it to sit closer to the engine, but they exist if you’re willing to drop $160 for a clutch.

    New Tillotson billet head

They’re not on the market yet, I got on the list way early. I did recently pick up a tillotson head that was built by one of the best in the business, and it straight rips and can be bought for $300. 32/28 stainless valves, with all the tricks. It flows 96.5 cfm. I took off a nice 32/28 head to...

Are Electric Actually Builds Simpler Than Gas Builds?

It’s internal combustion for me, and always will be because I like that I can pour fuel in and go, no waiting on batteries to charge, and I enjoy the sounds that a built up internal combustion engine makes. I would challenge any of you electric guys to build anything that would keep up with my...

Guess what I picked up yesterday for FREE!!!

Get a new battery. Starting it with a low battery could damage the CDI box, and those aren’t cheap.

    When is Crank Shaving Needed?

It’s actually a common practice. I generally take what I can from the area shown in the pic above, but shaving the cam is something I have to do to almost every engine I build.

    Predator 212 Snorkel

And on top of that, the bowl vent for the carburetor would have to be tied into the snorkel or it would get water in the carb.

    Corona Beer Virus

Sid, I know there are time when we find ourselves at odds, but this is most certainly not one of those times. This whole post is on point. As I stated before, my gf is a banker, and they had two people come in yesterday whose spouses were quarantined and being tested (one has since tested...

Predator 212 Carb Jet: Is it worth the trouble

The predator is lean from the factory to meet epa regulations. If you modify it fo more airflow, then it is a must to rejet in my opinion. The best way to go about it is to get an assortment of jets, and find a good spark plug reading chart and study it closely.

Why you love a specific go kart brand.

I grew up riding Manco karts. That’s why I like them.
