Set the kelly to 100% and "speed" Setting. But only saw 25mph. Wondering if there is some kind of governor on the Leeson motor or something I am missing in the kelly settings.

Top speed @ 75% was 24mph Amp draw = I am too cheap to buy the lcd gauge Batt pack = That ride was around 14minutes and the packs charged 7800mah and dropped from 4.2v to 3.9v. I have the kelly set to stop when they get to 3.65v Heat = when I got home the motor was a little warm to the touch...

The more I read about phase to phase and different ways of measuring motors I get more and more confused. So far I have just learned that a 20lb 1000w motor will make a **** of a lot more torque then a 10lb 1000w motor. I need to get my amp gauge hooked up so I can make more since of it all...

On this motor I doubt I am anywhere near 400 and I think the most anyone has measured out of the kelly 400a controllers is just over 300.. But when I put on my imperial 3.6hp 36v motor I might be able to max her out. :) :idea2:What part of the equation do I put in my fat arse? Should...

GPS'd her at 24mph yesterday set to 75% power and the controller in "Balanced Mode". Which would be around 35-37volts 5165rpms +/- depending on the battery charge. BMI calc puts that at 28mph so a little disappointed and am going to pick up a 12T and 15T sprocket to try.

Do you think there would be any value in getting the KWH gauge too?

Let a bunch of friends ride it off and on over 2 days with all stop starts and donuts etc. Biggest guy being close to 300lbs. And recharging the batteries she took 9ah. and the voltage of the packs was down to 15.84volts from 16.8. Anyone have a link to a cheap volt and amp gauge that can...

    Boma 60V 2,000W brushless motor

How are you liking the torque on this? if you give full throttle from a stand still does it launch you? I am thinking about either this motor or the 1800w for my Razor MX650 build. :cornut:

Need to make a few tweaks here and there, tighten the chain, but other then that she is a success! Next I will take her out for a top speed run and better footage. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsHu-KVKaOY

My dumbass had the J1 cable plugged into the J2 port.. All of the wiring was correct. Now I am balancing charging the lipos, then need to fix a cracked brake line and we are ready to rock!

    Boma 60V 2,000W brushless motor

I would run both motors inline like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P9b6UdxyRHM As long as both motors are running at the same rpms they should be fine to mix.

Made some good progress over the last couple of nights. Finished the battery box and got everything mounted and wired up. Then I ran into the issue that I cant get the **** controller to power on.. Anyone know the secret to these things? The contactor has a +/- on it with the small wires that...

Where to find a 2 stroke engine for buggy build?

Cheapest and easiest to get with a transmission would be a Honda CR250 out of a dirt bike. PitsterPro also sells a crate 250cc 2stroke.

    Boma 60V 2,000W brushless motor

I have found with my industrial motors that are bi-directional; that one way is always smoother with less resistance. Once you have it on the cart push the cart with the motor on both ways and see if one way is easier to push then the other.

    controller for 2 motors

This is the controller I would go with for 2x brushed scooter motors. It will push out up to 190amps so plenty of power, cheap, and I have abused mine for years without issue. https://www.ebay.com/itm/24V-36V-700W-48V-60V-1000W-Waterproof-Brushed-Scooter-Controller-With-Throttle/162711259891

Picked up a 6$ ammo can from harborfreight. Little bigger then I need. But will work for now. Lined it with 8mm closed cell padding. considering mounting the controller to the side of it.

    Monkey Bike 212cc Project

Go with the lifan 125 (can be had for under 300$ shipped) or if you really want to get crazy the Pirahana or GPX140. More then that I would recommend upgrading suspension, longer swing arm, and running 10" tires. After rebuilding the top end and cleaning up the ports etc I am able to top out...
